QUOTE(tot31 @ Jan 28 2013, 12:48 PM) joytest does has some valid points you know on what he had said about the status quot. Most of all my friends who own ip phones they usually feels like they are driving a merz or a bmw. The price of the phone is so absurd for me if want to compare the features it has. I was never enticed to get one. If you want to call me an Android fanboy too, go ahead, I don't mind. at least I know I have made a smarter choice than those ifags out there... That's true. Some of my friends want to change to i5 just because it's so called faster. And bigger screen size, which is still 4 inch. Another absurd reason will be, their current Iphone lags. So must change to a newer one. |

QUOTE(joytest @ Jan 28 2013, 01:18 PM) If your car has a problem you send it to the mechanic. If your (i)phone has a problem you buy a new one.... Sad to say but true. Another friend thought of changing i4 to s3, the i5 friend told her not to. Why? I5 more expensive, hence it is better. This is the mindset that has affected electronic devices in general. |

QUOTE(eternity4av @ Jan 28 2013, 01:56 PM) seriously, i can't accept this reason. at least give some valid reason, this is totally ridiculous Hahaha they did drag note 2 into the topic too so andrewtho is also right. I think they might have just said that based on the i5 with higher storage, hence higher price, I'm not sure. should tell his i5 friend straight to his face. although they're comparing s3 with i5. Worst thing is, they asked me what's so good bout android and I told them it's customizable, and we have a home screen to start with, not just few walls of apps. they told me, they have home screens too. Then they showed me their lock screen. |

QUOTE(joytest @ Jan 28 2013, 02:07 PM) Admittedly, people like us are a tiny percentage of the population. You need to take the metaphor of cars or hotels or houses to make them understand the comparison. Yea I saw this from u before and I think it's one of the best ways to describe it. eg: The difference between android and iOS: iOS is like living in a nice hotel. You don't have a lot of choice but it looks nice and easy to use. Android is like buying your own home. Buy an really nice home (android device) and you will probably love it. You can change and customize it however you want. It's yours! You can also buy cheap. Actually I am ok with ios and I do recommend it to my friends who want simplicity and games, but the fanboysim level is just ridiculously high and I don't even know how it got to them. |

Encountered quite a peculiar problem with my calculator today. I normally use my phone as a calculator instead of bringing one around.
The problem is, the sequence of the numbers got all mixed up, for example, typing in 123456, would show on screen, 145623. Tried many times but its the same. Plain weird. |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Jan 30 2013, 04:57 PM) ADW was my first fav launcher till the dev kinda abandon it. He updated it recently but no longer appealing to me. Can try SF launcher. Quite special. Nova was my next fav launcher after that. And to be honest i dun like TSF as well at first. After using for a few days and finally setup the launcher i kinda like it. So now its my default launcher and dun see my self going back to nova. Have not tried Next cos reading comments that it still lack functions. |
