you are most welcome, indeed the Thai DMA5 is a bit better than DLL7 (hahaha. I am not sure whether this is a placebo effect  sweat.gif ), it feels smoother. Frankly speaking the battery life on DMA5 is more or less the same or a bit better than the DLL7.

Why don't you try out Swiftkey 4 Public beta. It has symbols on the keys as well as gesture support.

but...but samsung keyboard has number on the top, and also has nice tactile feedback and tone tongue.gif

What I am trying to say is there is a possibility that 4.1.2 may still be available. But of course I am not sure. Reasons I say this are :

1. Went to a Samsung store this afternoon and was told that it is still available (Of course it has been known that some of them do not know what they are talking about).
2. I have yet to register my phone and it could be due to this that it is not available to my unit yet. Will be doing so to see if I can after that.
*
I would recommend to stay on 4.1.1 to enjoy the awesome idle battery life it has tongue.gif

Guys, any good launcher to try? Are they stable enough to be used? Somehow, I tend to feel that launchers affect the smoothness of slide transitions sweat.gif
*
exactly, for me apex launcher is freakishly smooth, I have like tons of widgets on 7 screens and yet no lag AT ALL. but i don't use it as I like TW launcher laugh.gif

Haven't try Nova though

I really admire people with long battery life. Why can't I have? sad.gif
*
Might be your apps. I'm on DLL7 and my previous charge was about 6 hours SOT with 42 hours uptime on the supposedly "battery draining" firmware. Just go thru your BBS and see whats killing your batt. Unless of course you are on full 3g and game a lot...then its a whole different story biggrin.gif

Mine is really weird.
Idle can last long but not when I start using it.
My wakelock doesn't show any suspicious. sad.gif
I don't game... cry.gif

Mine is average 1D 2H with less than 3H SOT...
*
do you do lots and lots of calls? I would say that's and easy way to kill the battery as the phone will be going to idle and waking up again and again every time you make or get a call. You do notice that your screen on time is really long when you use the phone non-stop as opposed to just using it a little across a few days right?(maybe not now since you are having a batt issue, but maybe when you just bought the phone?)

but if you don't do that a lot, and you don't game......its definitely your apps or the phone isn't charging properly(like when you use a slow charger, even if you charge to 100%, it will drain faster than using a proper charger solsekuin44 and this issue before iinm.

There's definitely a logical reason for your batt drain issue, just have to find it and fix it smile.gif

I was using the ori charger yet the same issue... sad.gif

I don't make a lot of calls, only to my mum when I reach home after work (mummy's girl blush.gif), averagely less than 30 minutes.

Other time, I'm busy in office. I think DiGi's unstable line also plays a role here...
*
can be also, but the thing is i'm on umobile with either yellow or grey bar for the signal part under the battery in settings doh.gif

Which is why I *think* that bad signal, at least for 2G, isn't really a battery drain factor for note 2 hmm.gif

But that's just what I can see from my phone, am not sure sweat.gif

All kinds of weird names lol, luckily no note since we wouldn't want our device to get outdated so fast, don't we? tongue.gif

But I'm really excited to know what kind of SOCs the low end and mid range phones are gonna use, especially since all the phones are expected to launch with 4.1 and Nature UX biggrin.gif

Lowest end is most probably gonna use the broadcom chip, while hopefully all the others use a qualcomm chip. The msm8227 seems like a good budget chip for 2013 biggrin.gif

Don't wanna see any S1 chips this year~

8227 is powerful enough and should be fine for basic use. Too bad I can't remember the Qualcomm naming convention clearly. Man they had a confusing lineup.
*
I guess they might rename it as snapdragon 200.....or 400 rclxub.gif
