QUOTE(antt00 @ Jan 29 2013, 10:27 AM) I have done transfers using airdroid between my laptop n note 2 while sharing the same internet connection, did not notice it take any additional data. Good. Maxis has started to impose quota on my plan, used to be unlimited. Now it is just 30GB, so need to plan my Internet activities. My sisters love to stream from their Note II and iPhone, so I was thinking to stop them from doing that. Since whatever they stream, I already have a downloaded copy in my laptop, thought of sharing with them and upload to their mobile phones. So it could save my bandwidth a bit.

QUOTE(vostro78 @ Jan 29 2013, 10:34 AM) like that u need to b like an IT support for them everyday already. Not that difficult. Or, they could just do that themselves from my laptop. The sister who uses Note II is not much an issue because can use MTP and copy and paste as she likes. The problem is for the sister who uses iPhone 4S, you do understand iTunes can be quite a PITA sometimes.

QUOTE(cheemm @ Jan 29 2013, 10:36 AM) hi guys.. by using digi line, we MUST ON the mobile data only able to receive/send MMS??? tat means, there is no 2G MMS available when using note2??? i am not able to receive/send mms, then i walk in digi center ask for help, the guy ask me on the mobile data, this is a MUST, else i wont able to receive/send mms. he say i must send through 3G! @@ just wanna double confirm with u guys.. thanks!!! Turning off mobile data means there is no active data running in background, regardless you are on 2G or 3G. So, there is a confusion for both parties. Not to say that it must use 3G but turning on data doesn't mean only for 3G.

QUOTE(antt00 @ Jan 29 2013, 10:40 AM) Turning on Data is a MUST. But not sure if 2G can pakai or not cos very very seldom use MMS. 2G can and I forgot when was the last time I received a MMS. With the popularity of WhatsApp, MMS is a redundant feature for me. QUOTE(cheemm @ Jan 29 2013, 10:41 AM) ooooo... coz other phone dun have such issue. digi guy say samsung and iphones all need to on it only able to receive/send mms. I believe it is the same for others as well, mobile data is required. Probably other phones have their mobile data activated on its own? I'm not sure.

QUOTE(terabyte @ Jan 29 2013, 10:51 AM) Add me ,new Note II LTE Owner... pls sharing wit me info for LTE....tq You bought a LTE model without knowing LTE information in Malaysia? Luckily you bought Note II and not iPhone 5, else you can't use it yet in Malaysia. Anyway, only Maxis has LTE now and only selected areas are covered. At this moment, only can register LTE with wireless broadband plans which you can do it in TTDI and KLCC outlet.

QUOTE(PeeEl @ Jan 29 2013, 11:07 AM) Can Maxis do that or anyone for that matter? How can they 'change the goal-post half way into the game'? And is there any change in the charges? I'm not sure but mine was registered way long time ago, in 2009. Someone in Maxis thread is doing this and preparing a lawsuit against Maxis, we do however have evidence that no quota should be implemented to our plan. QUOTE(antt00 @ Jan 29 2013, 11:15 AM) If you are no longer on contract with them, that means your payment is only on monthly basis. So technically every month is like a new contract. This gives maxis the right to change the terms. But it also give the user the right to terminate and use other providers. Well my opinion anyway. Understood. I also don't wish to make a lot of fuss but it is really unfair because we are penalized. This issue happened most probably due to a lot of sellers selling unlimited biz plan which they should have not. Again, why Maxis allowed in the first place?

QUOTE(joytest @ Jan 29 2013, 11:16 AM) Well it depends on the escape clauses Maxis put in the contract. It is still the consumer's right to make an SKMM/MCMC complaint to resolve disputes for stuff like this. Yes, what we are not happy is they didn't preempt the users and just did whatever they like backend. QUOTE(yweising @ Jan 29 2013, 11:17 AM) u mean streaming 24/7 from ur note 2? hows the battery life now? No la, crazy meh 24/7. I seldom stream. My battery life lasts 1 day or slightly more. QUOTE(toottut89 @ Jan 29 2013, 11:18 AM) weird, you have 30gb and i have 5gb. i wonder what's going on here, when i check through *136*9# to check it says unlimited. Mine is legacy plan that already discontinued in Nov 2009.

QUOTE(PeeEl @ Jan 29 2013, 11:21 AM) You guys may have a case. On legality, it all boils down to the fine prints of whatever documents that were executed when you signed up for the plan in question. From the limited knowledge that I possess, on the principle of commercial practice, it cannot be done especially when you have had the 'benefits' for a long period of time. But then again, I could be mistaken. Actually I have no faith that the users will win, so I'm taking precautions steps now. Like limiting usage and have another contingency plan.

QUOTE(eternity4av @ Jan 29 2013, 06:24 PM) you can either use real-debrid or alldebrid to speed up your download speed, need an account though I had bad experience with Alldebrid, now with other downloader, I'm so happy with the service.

QUOTE(eddmecha @ Jan 29 2013, 08:30 PM) well its just every user have their own way of setting and using their phone... Mine is really weird. Idle can last long but not when I start using it. QUOTE(arslow @ Jan 29 2013, 08:31 PM) Might be your apps. I'm on DLL7 and my previous charge was about 6 hours SOT with 42 hours uptime on the supposedly "battery draining" firmware. Just go thru your BBS and see whats killing your batt. Unless of course you are on full 3g and game a lot...then its a whole different story My wakelock doesn't show any suspicious. I don't game... Mine is average 1D 2H with less than 3H SOT... This post has been edited by fruitie: Jan 29 2013, 08:35 PM

I was using the ori charger yet the same issue... I don't make a lot of calls, only to my mum when I reach home after work (mummy's girl ), averagely less than 30 minutes. Other time, I'm busy in office. I think DiGi's unstable line also plays a role here...
