Good. Maxis has started to impose quota on my plan, used to be unlimited. Now it is just 30GB, so need to plan my Internet activities.
My sisters love to stream from their Note II and iPhone, so I was thinking to stop them from doing that. Since whatever they stream, I already have a downloaded copy in my laptop, thought of sharing with them and upload to their mobile phones. So it could save my bandwidth a bit.

Not that difficult.
Or, they could just do that themselves from my laptop.
The sister who uses Note II is not much an issue because can use MTP and copy and paste as she likes.
The problem is for the sister who uses iPhone 4S, you do understand iTunes can be quite a PITA sometimes.

Turning off mobile data means there is no active data running in background, regardless you are on 2G or 3G.
So, there is a confusion for both parties.
Not to say that it must use 3G but turning on data doesn't mean only for 3G.

2G can and I forgot when was the last time I received a MMS.
With the popularity of WhatsApp, MMS is a redundant feature for me.

I believe it is the same for others as well, mobile data is required.
Probably other phones have their mobile data activated on its own? I'm not sure.

You bought a LTE model without knowing LTE information in Malaysia?
Luckily you bought Note II and not iPhone 5, else you can't use it yet in Malaysia.
Anyway, only Maxis has LTE now and only selected areas are covered. At this moment, only can register LTE with wireless broadband plans which you can do it in TTDI and KLCC outlet.

I'm not sure but mine was registered way long time ago, in 2009.
Someone in Maxis thread is doing this and preparing a lawsuit against Maxis, we do however have evidence that no quota should be implemented to our plan.

I also don't wish to make a lot of fuss but it is really unfair because we are penalized. This issue happened most probably due to a lot of sellers selling unlimited biz plan which they should have not.
Again, why Maxis allowed in the first place?

Yes, what we are not happy is they didn't preempt the users and just did whatever they like backend.

Mine is legacy plan that already discontinued in Nov 2009.

Actually I have no faith that the users will win, so I'm taking precautions steps now.
Like limiting usage and have another contingency plan.

I was using the ori charger yet the same issue...

I don't make a lot of calls, only to my mum when I reach home after work (mummy's girl ), averagely less than 30 minutes.

Other time, I'm busy in office. I think DiGi's unstable line also plays a role here...
