Hey, just wanna share the first battery life I got from latest malaysia firmware (Ma6)

when I first got the phone I was like you. a bit paranoid to be exact. worry about battery life. . keep checking. .. updating usage... switch off anything that drains battery. ... until I bought a spare Samsung battery. You don't have to worry anymore. 2 batts enough for 24 hours use or more.each last about 12 hours. It's a good investment

i am received phone firmware update and I am checking samobile for latest release.
found still is 4.1.2 but release on Jan 2013.
so any1 try this new release and any comment so far?

In Oct last year I paid RM 139 for it. Purchased it from Samsung reseller AsiaMobile in Lowyat. I think should be cheaper now
Anyway can say is a "waste of money"  as I rarely need to use it. I only bring it along if I do not drive and take a bus south to JB or north to KL. Previously on such trips I will bring my Yoobao 11200 battery pack. Even with this extra battery along, most of time seldom used too. The Note 2 battery is just insanely great

This is to show again the excellent battery usage for past 2 days while phone is overnight : with 3G always on, wifi off, Google sync always on, facebook notifications active, yahoo and gmail mail downloads active
The worst I have ever recorded is 3% over 9 hours

This is my present rom : Monx DMA5 with Perseus kernel 32 - all at its default settings and no tweaks ever made and no usage of any 3rd party battery savings app . Power savings mode is also turn off
So I never see any need to charge phone overnight. I always charge it to 100% before I go to sleep

1) ori uk white travel adapter+ ori cable in klia now. Should get within tomorrow or next day

2) my note2 cradle with phone dock + extra battery slot charging just arrive. Got speaker out + can use with slim case (you can see I am using the case for my note2)

Of course I am using it, like I said before, it is pointless for me to waste the data/wifi connection while my screen is off. Better to save it for my battery use...

with pro version you can customize on how you want you hp to wake up and poll all your wireless data. on play store it also has  a free version which you can not customize

For those with the Yoobao 11200 Long March. It comes with a short cable with changeable plugs. I decided to just test out that cable with the microusb plug.

Well, it seems to be a fantastic performer - it keeps a constant 1800 avg GCC rating on brotan's charger. It even allows higher current from the Yoobao unit itself. I have both the Long March white brick and the Transformer 13000. Using any other cables, the max I could draw was 1200. With this short convertible cable, I could consistently get 1400 on the Transformer and 1500 on the Long March.

UPDATE : On a NOTEBOOK USB PORT (Lenovo Thinkpad) - GCC is reading 1200

That's a fine quality China product. I must also congratulate Samsung on giving us such a wonderful feature that allows us to accurately measure incoming current and provide completely objective comparisons.

Would anyone else know whether ANY of the other Androids out there provide this feature as well?

Can you please clarify what you mean by "wireless dongle" ? Is it the Allshare cast or the normal 3G dongle?
As others have pointed out, it is available on xda for free by the same dev. Well, academic or not, it provides us S3 and GN2 users a completely objective way of measuring charging current for our devices, and we can definitely pinpoint problems with slow charging, whether its the cable or the charger.
