Company just sent out an email, will subsidize RM 800 for our mobile phone. Can buy any phone as we like. Last time, Company will buy us any phone from a specific brand and if we resign within 2 years, have to return the phone. Now, the phone is ours from the first day we bought it. If only it came 3 months ago... Now, I might get a Nexus 4 or something.

QUOTE(kaliku @ Jan 30 2013, 05:43 PM) Hi guys, Just a quick question to clarify in case I mess up. Im on th latest 4.1.2 firmware never rooted/flashed before and decided to flash to thai firmware seeing how some of you guys/girls report better battery life. From my understanding, I just need to download the thai firmware frm sammobile n pc odin. Is it that simple to just flash the firmware as stated in the guide on the first page or do I have to backup/do anything else besides the flashing? Would it void my warranty as well? Sorry for the long question. Just want to make sure that I dont screw up my precious phone. Many thanks for your help!! im not sure bout this. flashing via pc odin is straight forward actually. if u r already at 4.1.2 official, u could be having a new bootloader. flashing via odin might increase flash counter hence void warranty. i might be wrong. the best forumer to ask bout this is tot31

Basically DLL7 and Thai DMA5 on battery life more or less are the same...trust me.

QUOTE(antt00 @ Jan 30 2013, 04:57 PM) ADW was my first fav launcher till the dev kinda abandon it. He updated it recently but no longer appealing to me. Nova was my next fav launcher after that. And to be honest i dun like TSF as well at first. After using for a few days and finally setup the launcher i kinda like it. So now its my default launcher and dun see my self going back to nova. Have not tried Next cos reading comments that it still lack functions. Can try SF launcher. Quite special.

Just choose the extracted tar file as PDA. Leave everything as default Your data will NOT be wipe There will be no increase in flash counter Warranty will be void as it is NOT Malaysian firmware

QUOTE(solsekuin44 @ Jan 30 2013, 05:20 PM) I feel like 64GB is never enough. Haha. 500GB? Cikgu, the SDXC/exfat standard allows up to 2TB of card size. Considering they've now gotten 480Gb SSDs, it can take a while for that capacity to filter down to USB drives, then flash disks like microsd.

I just had a hand at one at a Digi roadshow. Nothing spectacular. The flyer is sending somewhat misleading messages: It states SCREEN: 4.7" WXGA (1280x768) True HD IPS Plus. So, what is all that supposed to mean? WXGA is the accepted definition for 1280x768. So what does TrueHD have to do with that? I wonder if people will snap it up because of the term "HD" ?
