Hi there, as it mention, is a lifetime license, however according to their support says that you only need to purchase a new license for major version update,

Example is as below:

Version 6.15 Want to update to Version 6.20 = No need to buy new license

Version 6.15 Want to update to Version 7.00 = Need to buy new license

However, if you want to keep the current license, then it will no problem at all. As it a lifetime license. However one of my customer purchase the license during Version 5. But until now, he didnt contact me for a renewal license, so i think its still can be use.

Hi there, responded by one of my cuctomer, that brought from me about more that a year ago, he said that he didnt have any problem on using it, even when the license expires, it still function like normal, just the IDM cant be updated, however it still can be used

Im tried to contact the support department at IDM, but for now, i still didnt receive any respond from them.

I'm actually already order from your web, but still haven't bank in since its just past 12 midnite.

but this is news to me. after 1 year, what happened if some host implement new technique (ie youtube or hosting change its api or something) and IDM need to keep up by updating.

what happened then, it doesn't make make any sense to pay another license.
