Knowing how significant improvement ignition system upgrade can give, I just went to Speedworks and replaced spark plugs to Denso Iridium IT20.

Their price is hefty, RM220 with installation but I manage to peek at their turbocharging workshop. Learned something new, so that I'm more prepared for my turbocharging project.

I accept the premium price as a fee to pay for knowledge transfer

Their turbocharging kit is not bad too. RM8k includes Garrett GT2052, intercooler, SS piggyback, 4 injectors, hot bits exhaust system. Guaranteed minimum 50% hp increase. I tried to negotiate stage by stage installation, they wouldn't do it. I don't have 8K cash to dispose at the moment.

Also the drawback is, interface cable and software for piggyback system is not provided. Engineers like me would prefer to tinkle on my own.

Thanks for your reply. But one of the staff at R3 division told me it is much lighter than the stock. Although he can't give me black and white stats SIGH.
Any recommendations on shop(s) selling Original / Branded lightweight rims ? I heard from friends' experience that Taiwan replicas are a gamble.

Doesnt make sense to me.. How is it possible for u to take 14secs for 0-100kmh? Mine without ETC also can do it around 10secs. With gadgets and mods i make it slightly above 9secs.. 14secs sounds like half throttling all the way only..
110whp is difficult to be justified. For example, how can a Vios with lower engine output outpace a Persona? Its due to car weight and also gear ratio difference.. The mapping in a Vios makes it hold onto a gear more compared to Persona, where it will kick down a gear very eagerly.. So i would prefer a more efficient engine mapping compared to a more powerful engine, as im able to harness more output from it compared to wasting too much money to bump up the stock engine power to a high level instead..

Denso Iridium Power IT20. Performance spark, sure got improvement. However this is not a long life spark. Estimated optimal life is 20-30K mileage. Degraded after that. Abt RM160 to RM200 selling price.
