Gong Hei fatt choi. My persona has encounter a problem. When I pumped petrol, i can't fully press petrol nozzle, else it will auto triggered and stop fueling. I have this since earlier. Not sure u guys have the same problem like me. If yes, how do u all solve this?

Hi guys i got a second hand persona last year. Everything is in stock and car condition is tiptop. However, records a fuel consumption of 9.7l/km which runs about 310km per full tank of RON95 (shell, caltex, essomobile, petronas). I then try out 3 full tanks of RON97(petron and caltax), but it records the same mileage as before. I changed to iridium spark plugs in between, and no difference to it.

Later last month, i sent it to proton service, got the engine timing tuned and reset ECU, because after advises from several people, i was told that my ECU might have gone wrong, so better to reset back to stock and see how things go. Aside from that, i changed the engine oil using semi-synthetic idemitsu.

Unfortunately, till today, it records 9.9l/km which is almost the same at 300km per full tank. (gauged by stop of the petrol leaver until the indication of petrol lights up)

What more from these can i do to change the fuel consumption guys?

oh yeah im using elegance. maybe ill change the fuel filter. its more like 40% city, 60% highway

when 90% highway abit in city like going to melaka. it did 380 like that.

Persona full tank is 50 liter but only about 42 liter available for filling, right?
Come to think of it, 8km/l to 14km/l still quite within a range for Campro, IAFM or CPS driven on normal condition la.
Mine also return about 9km/l on city drive.
On 100% highway drive with 130km/h average speed, I get about 12.5l/km.

Campro return worst fc during idle as the engine bay become extremely hot.
Other than traffic condition, car maintenance, right foot action aka driving at optimum rpm range and transmission type need to factor also.

currently testing and using Trestor Metallic Plus brakepads...so far so good no sounds no drama. more than adequate stopping power for stock persona/gen2. cant really tell about the dust as the weather has been rather shitty. skip over to the gen2 forum to order. they got bulk got size for persona also. mine was 150 for a set of 4. for front and rear discs. have so far bedded for about 900km. been driving in the city and highway. heats up evenly brakes evenly also. good luck.
