QUOTE(Fubar20 @ Mar 15 2013, 09:39 AM) got different types sum more...found one which was an electronic fuel pump...put inside the cabin...got me confused and bothered... but aftermarket got this Walbro brand which seems popular amongst modders but has been reviewed to be rather noisy... the best way to avoid ur fuelpump from dying...especially for fuel injected engines like ours is to never run on E or try to avoid running on Empty...there will be added strain on the pump. in a sense, once u see the fuel light come on...go pump petrol asap... unker trick...taught to me by my dad....hahaha...he says its a general rule of thumb for fuel injected cars...if carb, no worries... |

QUOTE(neochaser5 @ Mar 15 2013, 06:40 PM) Speaking of fuel pumps and fuel pumps, whenever I go to petrol station for top up and open the cap, i can always hear like gases coming out or should I say it sounded like when open up a soda or a beer. Is that normal? Normal...gas expands...fuel tank get heated...dont worry wont exlode...yet... then when fill up got whistling...hehehe |

has anyone ever checked their pads when changing due to this sound? any uneven wear...one side more than the other? could be due to that...that one need proper mechanic sort out, any donkey mechanic outside of the proton sc, is a proper mechanic to me...tak skolah pun ada yang lagi boleh pakai than those at the SC.

QUOTE(MG4 @ Mar 19 2013, 04:38 PM) for brembo prices...all ur paying for is the brand, especially if ur not getting the slotted and drilled performance rotors...it will still brake better... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « but if u want a cheap, quick fix to improve ur braking performance... 1) Ask mechanic to check ur brake pump/servo and adjust to tighten. 2) M-line, not too sure if got rear disc brakes...if dun have means can change the brake pump to a larger one...try getting gen2/persona h-line brake pump...(its different to compensate for all around disc brakes!) 3) Replace brake fluid 4) Change Pads + skim the rotors 5) Change brake lines to steel braided hoses. 6) Change rotors 7) Still cannot stop? add rear disc brakes... In my opinion the stock rotors work fine cause it was designed for travelling within the speed limit and also the car size, unless youve already modded and unlocked the potential power of ur car. then, u willl have some trouble stopping, like me but if it just to get rid of the spongy "tak makan" feel...numbers 3 and 4 should suffice. brembo rotors definitely will work better, provided its paired with the right pads and u cant expect anything less from the brand...but here, i believe, we've moved on from brands... as you can see from my list...rotor change is almost the last resort...for daily driving...change only if needed i.e. cracks, warping or just worn out.
