let me recite to you the history of dogs in Arab countries.
Dogs living there are more prone to rabies (fact). Thus the Prophet decreed that dogs are haram (depending on the mazhab). Some mazhab prefers outright ban because its easier (no need to think about samak) some mazhab says as long as the fur is dry then its okay (mainly because its easier to see if dog has rabies or not). You can keep a dog, but looking at our religious climate nowadays it wont be long before some people accuses you of apostasy (murtad) just because you own a dog. I dont care what religion u take but be nice to animals. They dont have akal so its only natural that those with akal take care of animals. on a sidenote: jangan suruh kucing u all sukati masuk berak kencing kat rumah orang. |
