streamyx silver modem Riger (TP link based) or Innatech which is better? I found that using Innactech for MYIPTV apk is much better for streaming those apps

I doubt they can upgrade our 8mb to any higher doh.gif

it is about they want or dont want. because the ADSL2+ itself support up to 24 mbps if you are close enough to their TM box cabinet/exchange. there some TM users using 20 mbps streamyx with 'underground method'

it is true
look at unifi already know
ppl can go 100,300, 500Mbps
unifi want to upgrade to 100Mbps also subject to availability laugh.gif

other countries' ADSL can go up to 20-30Mbps
our screamyx has trouble going up even 10Mbps...even 8Mbps also many cannot reach

The TM DSLAM is limiting the speed. If you checked the streamyx optimizer which this guy upgrade your streamyx ADSL2+ speed up to 20 mbps (location and DSLAM dependant). I myself within 500m from the cabinet. attainable speed is 24-26 mbps. I asked this guy can reach or not 20 mbps, he said no, the DSLAM in that cabinet only support 8 mbps. I think they should upgrade the DSLAM which can support more than 20 mbps instead of using the VDSL hmm.gif

in my case, i dnt think they limit the DSLAM
my case is my modem showed attainable speed is nearing 8Mbps despite the DSLAM is just opposite my house
when the TM guy test the line using his laptiop, that time not capped yet...i can see the speedtest at his laptop can reach 10+Mbps
after that he called some center to cap my speed at 4Mbps

not sure how your modem status showed, but the attainable speed is calculated based on the attenuation in dB which also roughly estimate in m or km how far is the exchange. if your attainable is 8mbps then the cabinet/exchange must be quite a distance more than 3 or 4 km I assume. in kampung area I have seen the cabinet located quite far and the attainable speed still within 10-14 mbps range.

if the tm guy did the speedtest from your site and able to see 10+ mbps, the attainable speed should within 12-16 mbps range.

normally this how they set

adsl profile 10240 for 8 mbps package
adsl profile 5120 for 4 mbps package (speed test around 4.3 mbps) this is mine biggrin.gif . attainable is 24-26 mbps. Checked the DSLAM cannot support more than 10 mbps.
