I wonder what genre will they use.. afaik shin megami tensei is more tojapanese RPG, fire emblem more to japanese tactical RPG.. or maybe a bit both?

Both are tactical RPGs, which makes them a natural fit for each other. Only one is set in a fantasy world while the other is set in the modern world so I'll expect some sort of space-time continuum shift to happen to merge the two worlds together. Imagine..... Marth commanding a team of demons...

Nintendo is starting some crazy crossover shit these days (I say it started when Snake and Sonic were confirmed for SSBB)

dungeon crawling strategy RPG maybe ...it will looks like fire emblem but the battle will be turn press battle just like SMT3 and 4

The question will be: Will it ever be in English? Or suffer the same fate as Layton vs Phoenix Wright?

Seeing that it was shown also on US/EU Wii U direct, so there's a chance of it will be in English in the future

I do think this one will come over to english la. sales not good in the east side. just like the same thing happen to PXZ. I should say over 90% of 3ds library will come over to the west side provided those license is not impossible to get (super robot, kamen rider, ultraman, cave, tri-ace team) just to name a few.

In Nintendo financial report, they do list SMT x FE on this year TBA release for US, EU and Jpn.

ATLUS never dissapoints..im sure it will released in english eventually

They didn't see familiar character from either FE/ SMT.... yet.

hmm i never play those game only saw the trailer and i saw some of the character design are
similar to FE.
As for SMT i think it's more to Persona

This is why Pegasus Knight/ Falcoknight is my favourite FE class.

Hopefully they will release US version next year...

Started to play this game, 10 hours in. So far so good, play like a watered down version of SMT, but still can get game over screen easily if not careful. Can expect quite a handful of JPop, posing and transformation scenes
Anyone else playing? Not sure what online feature it have, haven't seen any yet.

there's no online features in the game (unless you count buying dlc as one)
i'm about to finish the game... but have to postpone beating the final boss to this weekend due to 3 straight exam days. and probably will straight away do lunatic run after this

The more I look at this game, the more I think it's Idol Emblem. Haha
Not bad considering I've join the idol troop a bit.

Heard all the music too and it's really nice.

24th june... and it seems treehouse picked a good title for western release
