Last time there was one supermarket in Galleria near Jalan Pahang.
What's the supermarket name already ar? Was it Hankyu Jaya?
*
Pasaraya Rainbow is it ?

The mall is big, used to hangout there with friends in the 90s, good old schooldays.

Dulu Yaohan and Sungei Wang Plaza is the most famous shopping complex in KL.

But my father always bring us to Ampang Park for shopping. Maybe because it's easier to park there.

I kinda like KL before the arrival of KLCC and Midvalley. Those good old days where no 'kaki-pow' at CM, I was a mere 13-14 year old kid hopping in and out Minibus/Intrakota around CM, Kotaraya, Sogo, Pertama, Sg. Wang/BB, The Mall with friends. In the 90s, Sogo was the shrine of japanese goods, a lot of tamiya products being displayed and sold. Sg. Wang was a gaming heaven, ultra hueg gaming arcade and all.

yaohan remember cos relative stays at oug. hankyu jaya remember because staying nearby, then Kerry's takeover and remember because of the infamous A&W outlet at the ground floor there. that was before the flyover/ampang point was build.

across the building was the infamous kfc outlet. now tarak liao and not laku because of the flyover blocks up the area.

The story of Oshin is based on the biography of a Japanese woman, modeled after the mother of Kazuo Wada, a Japanese businessman who created Yaohan,

Yup! Hong Kong Supermarket in Pearl Point. It was the most gemilang time of Pearl Point. After Hong Kong Supermarket chaplap, it then changed to The Store, business was bad, then Maxvalu (Jusco) tookover, business lagi worst, then now changed to ECONSAVE. Business ok la but not as good as the Hong Kong Supermarket during 90' and early 00'.

yeah, when i was 7-8 years old my grandfather always take me there jalan jalan buy things.
now pearl point very quiet already. alot of empty shops.
And there are 2 shops which witness the transformation of pearl point, popular and the 18sx shop beside it brows.gif laugh.gif

When I was a kid, instead of going to KK jalan2, we always say go to Yoahan. That time Centre Point was known as Yoahan for us kids.

HONG KONG supermarket or HIONG KONG supermarket?

JAYA JUSCO is the granddaddy of the department stores in Malaysia. It came in big, and still going strong now. Their copycat competitors mostly bungkus or almost bungkus by now: Hankyu, Fajar, Yaohan, Ocean.
