Guidelines in Trade Zone Dispute Resolution Corner

Tips For making a complaint thread against someone:

1) You are suggested to use the following template in your topic:
Your name:
Forumer you are complaining against :
Item being sold/bought :
Original thread link: (if still available.)
Date of transaction :
Amount of money involved : (not 100% necessary, but will add on to the weight and vailidity of the accusation)
Details of the complaint :
Any extra details : (such as telephone numbers, ic numbers, address and bank account numbers.)


2) The topic title should contain the item being dealt and the alleged party's nick (and other details like names).
A complaint thread is mainly made to allow the alleged party to defend him/herself.

3) Inform the other party (via PM or otherwise) about your report here, so he/she has an opportunity to defend himself.
Remember to do this as what is most important is to resolve the issue at hand with the person you are complaining against.

Note to all LYN-traders:
All members especially traders are advised to check from time to time on the trade dispute section to check if their names have been complained about or not. This reminder is given because sometimes an accused member may be difficult to contact with problems such as members having full PM boxes or incorrect contact details given.

1) Please state clearly the reasons why a topic is created here in the dispute corner. There is no point in creating a topic and not providing a clear direction as to what is the purpose of the topic.

2) A topic with reason will not be useful if the name of the person being accused is not revealed. Please do not create a topic saying "I'm keeping the person name a secret, just wanna inform everyone else about this activity". Please kindly include the name of the person being accused and PM the accused party regarding the topic here.

3) Please be considerate and STOP posting useless comments here. " icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif " or "Lets take parang and go to his house chop him la, wait what somemore wor" is NOT useful. Anyone found posting pointless comments here will have his posting ability disabled for three days without notice.

4) If after sometime you realized that no actions has been taken at your complain, please kindly PM the trade zone moderators (Geminist / Shockk) so that they can look into it. Most of the time, it's because they are busy with other issues and it's not that they are ignoring you. Ranting in the topic will not help solve any problems.

5) From time to time, please check back here at the dispute corner to see if there are any updates or any complaints against you without you knowing. In addition, do check back here to see if there are any potentially problematic traders who are not in the black list / M.O. list yet.

6) Please kindly close the topic if your dispute has been settled.

FAQ of Dispute Resolution Corner

Why can't the person I complain being listed to the black list immediately as clearly it is his fault?
The accused party must be given 7 days to provide an explanation.

However, for any accused party who has been identified as a con person (with solid evidence), he will be listed onto the black list as soon as possible.

So who determines who to be listed onto the black list / M.O. List?
Contrary to what people may think, it is NOT only the moderator who decides who to be listed onto the black list but every other fellow members here. We decide whether to list or not to list someone onto the list based on the discussion that has been carried out. There are no personal preferences in the decisions made here.
