depending on your availability at home I guess... I have both PS3 and 3DS.. since I travel around a lot, I played my 3DS more than my PS3.. I only play PS3 sometime in the weekend, though some time I still play my 3DS to continue what I played on the weekdays =_=

It also depends on what kind of games you want to play.. if you only like shooting games, PS3 has tons of that.. perhaps too much.. if you want Japanese RPG (like the old final fantasy and the like), you'll be disappointed.. I can only think of 3, which are available in English, Final fantasy 13 & 13-2, and star ocean.. while action games, there tons upon tons of it, which I think similar to each other.. =_=

it's just my opinion..

some ppl only likes fast paced action games, so the ps3 suit them well.. otherwise ppl like me, 3ds suits me better, since I play all kinds of genre, though more inclined to Japanese RPG, and 3DS also offer good action games though not as cool as the PS3 action games.. it's good enough for me..

sooo yeah, you can't say PS3 is way better.. depends on your taste
