i just ported in to this plan.
the connection not so stable..
at first, i can get 3mbps than down till xx - xxxkbps and never reach xmbps anymore.
before, i was a maxis broadband user and i used to get till 7mbps.
FYI, my modem is huawe E173.

1.what is the problem ya?
2.how to know the band for each tower cell and where it is located?
3. is there any specific software/website for this?

please help.

thank you.

Read first post and click into the WIKI link.

It is likely your location is congested

@blacktubi
i have go thru the wiki link and follow the 'supercharge ***' thread.
it did improve my modem speed not the stability.
do you think if i upgrade to high end modem (huawei e398) might solve the stability problem?

thanks.

I can confirm that Senawang is DC-HSPA+ enabled, tested countless times there and btw, some parts there  even have Maxis Fibre running ( Lavendar Heights ) , soon LTE will be activated at that location too........

I am using a OpenWRT flashed MR3420 router for my connection.

This is my APN

will try this apn.
thanks digilife.

Even PD is also DC=HSPA+ enabled, I really can't see why Senawang is not. laugh.gif

don't laugh lor.
Maxis Seremban told me that.

Anyway, that's good news what.
So, i can upgrade to E398.
Will get it from blacktubi.

Thanks.

Anybody living nearby having this speed?

What modem you use.

I also have the similar speed BUT i live in Seremban.

The weird thing is when download using IDM, i got transfer rate ~2xxkbps and streaming also have no problem.

I guess, we can't 100% rely on speedtest, right?

By the way, i'm using Huawei E173 modem.

Just ordered E398 from blacktubi. Can't wait. biggrin.gif

Really jealous with digilife speed. drool.gif

Thanks.

My sister's house in Rasah Kemayan, near to Sri Carcosa Seremban can easily get 8Mbps and above but somehow the speed seems to have deteriorated over the months.

Same lar...
Before i can get ~4-6mbps constantly.
Now, cry.gif

Hopefully, E398 will give some improvement.

Changing apn's won't make a difference. You can put whatever apn you want and can still connect. Can even put in ironman as your apn, no problem lolĀ  nod.gif
*
Different from my case.
APN did make a big difference.
When use UNET, can't get speed more than 1mbps
maxisbb, vasssttt... 2-4mbps then slowly the speed going down and not stable somemore(still okay for surf).
Thanks.
