anyways, since this is for non-legacy (biz 99, 98, or the 'unpackaged RM250 PAYU', i'm going to kickstart a discussion about the RM per GB RM/GB or GB/RM (depending on how you look at it)

so, as far as i can recall, you can purchase extra data once you hit the quota limit, correct?

Now, i'm taking into consideration that one of the "BEST" value for value for Maxis, has been the biz99 (of course i'm just lunking), that you get a pretty fair deal of 30GB for RM99, that's something like RM0.3 per gig, and then i'm linking WBB (but ONLY because this is the "if you have maxis postpaid, you get a discount by paying this only sum) of 28GB (7+21) for RM118, and you'll get a whooping RM0.23 per gig.

however, the major kicker is,
assuming the WORST value for value is that 10cents per 10kb, is it capped? I haven't read anythign that says its capped on the page Maxis Mobile Internet - Packages and Charges. in fact, the quota says N/A. If its N/A, but you pay a maximum of RM250, very good deal. But if there's no ceiling, you'll be screwed.

So what's the best value for value you can get these days for your maxis mobile internet?

care to share people?

(by the way, i'm using this formula of max usage of RM200 as per one of maxis's old ipad plans as a comparison, that's how i rolled until the new AM+AM plan rolled out.

30GB for RM99, that's RM3.30 per GB not RM0.30 nod.gif

sorry bad with my math. i'm almost inclined to just go and make a new thread about GB-per-RM between maxis, celcom and digi, but i think its sufficient for me to talk just about maxis's here, since we're talking about mobile internet here.

has anyone have any idea, what kind of data and rates you can 'upgrade' once you hit the 30GB quota? the one maxis quotes on website refers to WBB's , not MI's.

lol. when idiots talk among themselves.

just curious.

how many of you here are legit 'individual biz99' subscriber instead of those damn people who are subscribed under phony companies?

no, no. that was just a rhetorical question. don't answer that.

wait a minute, so this thread ain't for maxis mobile internet discussion then?

2 SIm came in this month
3 sim from last year.
cause today i call all my staff to call the Hotline to confirm the quota. 3 of them say Quota is 6GB by CS and 2 of them said 30GB ... cry.gif

Haih.  cry.gif

If i'm not mistaken, all 5 multi-SIMs are sharing on a single allocated bandwidth, just like how me and my partner found out (because we're both MultiSIM users, i'm riding on his line) where he got 4 cards, i got 1, and by the time i hit 5GB, it continued on, until suddenly all lines suffered from deteoriation of quality and connectivity. A quick call to Maxis revealed that an entire 30GB quota was used up. LOL

So probably in your case, some of the SIM cards's usage went unrecorded? Probably?

My quota reset should be tonight... Gonna see what's the "new" limit. If worst comes to worst, I'll just ditch Maxis for Celcom for the sake of ditching Maxis laugh.gif Since Celcom's corporate data package is priced the same as Maxis's anyway.

I think somebody actually pointed out, (not sure correctly or not) that if you go by Celcom's package, they will enforce FUP, once you get past the 5GB threshold.

I heard they will only throttle subscribers that frequently exceed 30GB. Light users like us still safe  smile.gif

Its the same as saying "you use more than 30GB, you get throttled".

I'll prefer having them to do traffic load balancing, as in prioritizing web surfing and streaming, gaming latencies and connectivity, P2P download last, etc. Many companies are having this.

In one episode of Tech News Today, (sometime last week) even AT&T (the prime evil) that championed this capped quota thing ADMITTED publicly that the cap thing was NEVER an issue about users using more bandwidth, using up all bandwidth.
