QUOTE(ongweiping @ Mar 8 2013, 06:54 PM) I think mine also almost went inside wheel arch, when driver seat occupied. Erp... too late to take picture, next time mayb do it in TT. Alamak. I'm on 8/6 full setup medium hard. After 2k km..then not so hard edi..I whack from kl to johor and kl back 215kmh (luckily no speed traps)..after that, its not so hard already. Richard and Wai Loong tested my car with 10/8 hard hard setup, 9/7 hard hard setup, 12/10 hard hard setup and 8/6 hard hard setup before settling with 8/6 medium setup. I'm still in stock tyres lowered until 2 fingers front and 2 fingers at the back. So far so goot, 160kmh pek corner no problem with the suspension but dunno how long the tyres can last me..Mine got little sound still, looks like more obvious compared to last time after Tuesday visit to Titan. Hmmm... My dad still dunno yet. But others--mom, sister, brother all know due to the bottom up issue. Besides the titan orchestra which my dad hentam me kaw2, it works to his liking..more handling, steering response is not that great because of lack of stabilizer bars I guess but cornering is precise and pointing to the correct way at 160kmh middle hard bend. About the nose dive, yes, it helps braking a lot because, if you have massive nose dive, the back of the car tends to lift up a bit, reducing stopping power massively. We can't 100% eradicate the nose dive, it will be there but I can safely say..95% of nose dive has been resolved.. About the high cams, try researching 4b12 or 4b11t high cams. Well, practically, its not feasible to use 4b11t cams on our car because the range is too high..for daily drive, 4b12 cams works better. More info? Come tt tonight, I'll explain.. |

My on eibach,
Initial, medium damper rate Just 100 meters from titan work shop, Which I found harsh n not comfort at all compare to my harhest classic mini, after few days of driving, it goes much better... And superb in cornering which cause my Falken botack earlier ever in my life of driving. Road feeling, feedback was heavy, when about reach tollgate will pass by many yellow line right, it was like kong kong kong kong kong kong kong kong ......... Till the touch n go, my wife look at me at say what's wrong with ur car, I replied said Proton mah. About a month, back titan tune medium soft, feel better, butt is softer, cornering lose a bit. After second tuned, I throw my car key to unker Richard and ask 3 foreign workers jump up car and test cross bongol, so far so good, no kena wheel But I don't think the damper rate fit my eibach spring. I believe it still can tune softerto match my spring rate. |

QUOTE(jnick @ Mar 8 2013, 08:08 PM) linear spring, some spring purposely make it like this cause when the time it get compress, it wont become "bow" like this ![]() 2. Why Swift's longer springs (some of 10" and longer springs) are trapezoid designed? We designed our longer coilover springs for one purpose only; to minimize the chances of the spring from bowing. (Just imagine a spring that buckles as your knee would buckle). That is why we picked the barrel shaped design instead of having a straight shaped spring. Say you have two springs that carries the same free length. One of the springs has more coils wound then the other. The one with more coils will not bow as much as the one with fewer coils. However, when you add more coils, in turn you add more weight while limiting the available stroke in the spring. Swift choose a different approach. We decided to develop a spring that has a barrel shape (Smallest circumference gradually increasing till the center coil of the spring, then decrease in the same ratio). With the barrel shape design, it allows us to utilize fewer coils on the spring, as well as less weight, and also allows us to keep our accurate liner spring characteristics. In the US forums, someone managed to get evo x cams working on their 4B11. But rev limit had to be raised to 7k. I doubt 4b12 cams will make a difference in the 1.8. PM me for more discussion la I lazy go TT |
