I saw the mention of clear switches in V8, and just read about them. Are they available locally? drool.gif

ROSEWILL RK9000 REVIEW OPPORTUNITY

We're hoping to gather some senior members in reviewing the RK9000. It's probably nothing new for you folks but many have no idea what exactly and why exactly this keyboard rocks. We are going to start with a campaign for some selected members to review the keyboards. Once the reviews are submitted, you have to pass the keyboard to the next person. At the end of the day, we will do a random pick (using "the hat") and one of the reviewers will be able to keep the keyboard free of charge.

We are considering sending all keyboards in for review - MX RED, MX BLUE, MX BLACK (MX BROWN not available until Late February)

Whoever wants in. Quote and add your name here and we will contact you for more details

PS: Everybody who reviewed professionally will be given a small gift as a small gesture of appreciation
can I have a shot? never actually used a mech for a prolonged time (had a go with a blue for a couple months though), but maybe a perspective from a person coming from years of membrane and laptop scissor switches? biggrin.gif

QUOTE(kaysa @ Feb 13 2013, 09:59 PM)
Read some Chinese review about it, he mention that the wireless doesn't function well,
doesn't have feet to change the angle on bottom of the board,
no surface cover, meaning easy to get dusts, but easy to clean at the same time,
Plate mounted, not plate mounted, meaning not as strong, but easy to mod the switch.
with LED hole ready for LED mod, but I doubt that the POM are light transparent...
I think because the PCB are black, it wouldn't reflect LED light even if you mod it with LED...

doesn't score high in this particular review.

read yourself if you can read Chinese.

not sure the price of it, if anyone want my opinion on this,
go ask the Lowyat seller the price and tell me,
I won't go ask myself tongue.gif

oO. damn. wish I could read Chinese. doh.gif

it costs as much as a ducky.

how much is it ?

RM4X0, depending on switch. Is it worth getting for the price?

Also from photos I saw, the PCB is exposed?! blink.gif

But is the neo worth the bother? If purchase through agent or directly from taobao.

Otherwise I might just stick with getting a qfr.

Will I have any issues if I try to change the keycaps?

Has anyone here debated over getting a red switch vs a brown switch before? I can't make up my mind. lol

Please don't ask me to get both. That's not an option. tongue.gif

Also, what happens when you add o-rings to the kb? As in what effect?

general preferences : red
o-ring dampens presses and so reduces the sound too
*
so in other words, if I use o-tings on a red, the bottoming out sound will be dampened?

Yes, but that alters the typing feel too. Some people (like me) don't like the feeling, and rather live with the clacking sound. Well actually I find the clacking sound quite satisfying tongue.gif
*
this is gonna sound stupid, but what does typing on o-rings feel like? cant test coz shop doesn't have em. haha
