Dear experienced mechanical keyboard users, i was thinking of getting a mechanical keyboard to replace my current logitech combo, which i been using for almost 5 years...

i'm looking at the CM Storm Quick Fire TK, or Quick Fire Rapid...i know that Rapid is made by Costar OEM, a reputable OEM, while the OEM for TK is unknown...

any feedback on these 2 keyboards? my budget is around 300++, max around 350...

CyntrixTech, how much does that cost?
should be out of my budget...
just checked your thread, seeing RK9100 is selling at RM399, this one should cost more...

Ireferno, i did look into Rosewill, value for money i would say...
with clean design, i like it the clean look...
main reason i'm looking at the CM keyboards is because of the compact size...

kayk Lol, I'm selling my RK9100 for your full budget!

*
lol indeed...some more yours is brown switch, i was looking for brown too, as i type and game...considering, but the Helios that CyntrixTech posted, is tempting as well...let say it arrive end of March / April time frame, that would give me 2 months to save...

BTW, what do you mean by non standard mods?

because at first glance RK9000 and RK9100 looks like identical twins, except that RK9100 is with LED backlit...
is it because of different keycaps...

Costar uses Costar Stabilizer. lol

Costar stabilizers now support LED? when i read up TK reviews, the article mention that the costar stabilizers don't support LED...

Confirmed that it is Costar-bar stabilizer.
*
oh great...if that's the case, i might just wait for this Helios...
and see how's the RRP...if not unreasonably high, i might just get this...

should be around DK9008S2 pricing maybe a little cheaper.
*
oh DK9008S2 is selling around RM459, from your thread, so if is around there then i guess should be reasonable...
2 extra months to save up RM100, shouldnt be too hard tongue.gif

Hi there, new user here, just a quick question, where I can find key puller?
*
if you are around KL/PJ/SJ, you can get filco wired key puller from heavy-arm...
his shop is in SS15, or you can go to his thread in garage sales...

If you are really willing to spend RM 400 or so for a Filco-grade keyboard, just wait for the Rosewill Helios 9200 (unfortunately now delayed to May)

sweat.gif need to wait longer, but more time to save for it... laugh.gif

but then i also understand why cyntrix doing at weekdays...if the promo was at weekends, there will be less crowd at MMU campus...
any how, hoping the venue will be different for the next promo, like shopping complex or at some fair...
