Can anyone attest to Unicomp's QC? Am looking to purchase a board from them.
*
I had one for a while. I would say the quality isn't very good. I think I was using my friends Ultra Classic Black and the plastic on the board was really thin and flexed easily. Some keys were also aligned badly. And raising the keyboard with the feet at the bottom made the whole thing wobbly and slippery which made it pretty unusable on a smooth surface like a table. Good buckling spring experience for me tho, my first.

I feel that the Buckling Springs I tried are not much louder than blues, just slightly springier as keys tend to come up faster. On that note, have not tried greens.

Wanna ask. Has anyone tried SP mods with OEM base? Is the height difference significant that makes it unusable?

hmm... i thought last time someone mentioned before that SP's keycaps have their own "SP height" that is slightly different than OEM or Cherry height?
*
Yeah I think SP and Cherry aren't equal. But the few 1.25x CTRL I have is about the same height as kai's PBT. The SP face is just angled a bit steeper.

Ducky Zero 2108 - Ducky's Entry Level Board Cherry Stabilizer

Previously I said Cyntrix probably won't be bringing it in, but well I'm reconsidering it. The board uses cherry stabilizer just like Leopold. There's much slimmer chance for squeaking long keys. The current SRP is RM 249. RM 50 less than the Costar RK9000. Caps are laser engraved ABS with UV coating. Someone please do me a favor to verify tha all the caps are compatible with standard cherry keycaps. biggrin.gif
*
I think they're using the standard layout in terms of modifier keys.

Kai's Poker mkb is cheaper and much easier to get lol.

sharkfin I used a ruler to remove my keycaps. Those keypuller is not really necessary in my opinion.

A ruler? To pry it off? shakehead.gif http://imgur.com/a/nsEDr#11
At least use a paperclip. http://imgur.com/a/DyaCf

Ruler seems really easy. I just fit the ruler under the keycaps then apply some pressure to fling it out. Imma try with the keypuller soon. Just got a new one!

Also, what do you guys think about the CMSTORM QF Pro Brown Switch? Thinking of trading my RK9100 for it

Did you not see the picture I posted..?

Probably, I think quite number of mkb having spacebar with different stabilizer distance.
*
Only Leopolds have the most awkward, most are standard.

^And Kai said that's the POKER 2 Type 1. The Type 2 which we're receiving will have normal mod sizes (phew!).

Most likely POKER v2 will come in 2 flavours.
1 is the fugly arrow cluster, and the other will come as the same key sizes as POKER1.

I want normal mods to fit my incoming RA3.0 and Toxic. biggrin.gif

POKER Pro "Type 61keys". Comes in non-backlit and backlit version.
Please ignore the fugly keycaps. Those are non standard. They are probably coming from DECK.

I'm guessing the GB you're doing is for the non-backlit version?
Have to agree with Kai on the keycaps. tongue.gif

I'll just leave this here for everyone's benefit. Not worth the price IMO, rather get a Ducky.

Can recommend software to remap key a? like i mentioned above.
Swap the insert -> delete when numlock is on.
*
Try Autohotkey. It's not that hard to remap it but maybe different because of your board. Check out this list of "special keys" and how to remap.

Don't most Ducky's have that extra 4 keys about the numpad. For like calculator and volume or something.
