ARe you worried about click clacking sound of wire stabilizer? The biggest issue with these stabilizers are squeaking issue.

ROSEWILL RK9000 REVIEW OPPORTUNITY
user posted image

We're hoping to gather some senior members in reviewing the RK9000. It's probably nothing new for you folks but many have no idea what exactly and why exactly this keyboard rocks. We are going to start with a campaign for some selected members to review the keyboards. Once the reviews are submitted, you have to pass the keyboard to the next person. At the end of the day, we will do a random pick (using "the hat") and one of the reviewers will be able to keep the keyboard free of charge.

We are considering sending all keyboards in for review - MX RED, MX BLUE, MX BLACK (MX BROWN not available until Late February)

Whoever wants in. Quote and add your name here and we will contact you for more details

Hello, anyone know where can I get a wire keycap puller ?
And is it fine if I wash my key caps with warm water and soap ?
Thanks again.
*
Woah, what did you do to your keycaps till they need to be washed with soap X.x

I'm sure they will be fine washed since it's plastic. Just make sure it's not keycaps like mine which has a coating around it. RK9100 here.

Do also dry it before putting it back on your keyboard

I recall reading somewhere that toilet seats are the cleanest part of one's house.

Keyboards are ment to be dirty, especially if you eat in front of it and smoke too...

On a side note, heavyarm's Rosewill promotion has ended! Now I can sell my keyboard for more!

Managed to get my hands on a test unit of Cherry MX Red yesterday!

Feels like a lighter Brown if you'd ask me. And of course my brown has a lil tactile feel to it. I still prefer my brown biggrin.gif

Basically the thing that appeal to me is the custom CNC milled Aluminum.

Other than that, the switches are custom Clears + 62g, and lubed. Feels very very smooth even for a very tactile switch that is the clears. Also, you can get the custom layout to fit the Cherry Double shot keys.

Is this the only kb with those Clear switches?

Dear experienced mechanical keyboard users, i was thinking of getting a mechanical keyboard to replace my current logitech combo, which i been using for almost 5 years...

i'm looking at the CM Storm Quick Fire TK, or Quick Fire Rapid...i know that Rapid is made by Costar OEM, a reputable OEM, while the OEM for TK is unknown...

any feedback on these 2 keyboards? my budget is around 300++, max around 350...

Ask me about Rosewill lol. I know nuts about CM

Rosewill Helios RK9200 - Dual LED backlight Mechanical Keyboard - Costar OEM

Helios is Costar OEM in case nobody has read up about it brows.gif

Why la Rosewill. This keyboard has standard mods =.=

You only created one keyboard with non standard mods and I happened to buy it..

lol indeed...some more yours is brown switch, i was looking for brown too, as i type and game...considering, but the Helios that CyntrixTech posted, is tempting as well...let say it arrive end of March / April time frame, that would give me 2 months to save...

BTW, what do you mean by non standard mods?

because at first glance RK9000 and RK9100 looks like identical twins, except that RK9100 is with LED backlit...
is it because of different keycaps...
*
Take more note at the bottom left of the keyboard where the Ctrl, Alt and windows is. It's slightly bigger than the other keyboards, also the spacebar is shorter. I'm selling it to downgrade to the RK9000 so I can get keycaps for it easier.

QUOTE(zongeva @ Feb 5 2013, 10:43 AM)
Rosewill didn't make the keyboard lol. RK9100 is made by i-rocks.
*
So these producers are just riding by Rosewill's name? I don't quite get the business logic here.

It's really simple. For example,

Costar manufactures keyboard.

Filco ordered 2000 with so and so configuration

Cooler Master then comes in order few thousand with so and so configuration

Rosewill comes in and order another few thousand of the boards with certain configuration.

At the end of the day, who has larger quantity would have better pricing. There's also material cost but usually for big quantities like few thousands, they don't matter much. Remember who owns Rosewill. That's why we can offer 1:1 exchange for all products from Rosewill. They don't manufacture their own, so the brand and service is really just up to the company.

This is similar in GPU industry. Reference card comes out of Nvidia's factory. Different companies label them. Repack, and sell with different brand premium. It's the same card.
*
Interesting, so everything's outsourced. I guess quality is entirely up to the manufacturer lol, not the brand itself.
Thanks for the explaination.
