Quite heavy at the beginning and almost impossible to not bottoming out, nevertheless I able to type slightly faster.  thumbup.gif
And after changing to Vortex key caps somehow the "click" noise became thinner (eargasm  brows.gif )

You'll have to choose a switch you like before you proceed.

There's a few people selling their Mech KB in the Garage Sale section

Most brands are fine. I said most, which means all except for Razer lol.

Rosewill is the no frills, no nonsense kb
Ducky and Filco is premium and slightly more expensive
CM Storm is what I use currently, I like it more than Rosewill (thanks yuka)
Other brands are not well known or it's hard to get them in Malaysia

Owh yea, and the main difference between Reds and Browns is that Browns have a tactile feel when clicking. Once you press it deep enough, there's some resistance. Reds just go in and out without this resistance.

Brown switches were not bad either for both gaming and typing. Going to hunt down red switches next.  laugh.gif

What switch is HHKB?

I get that meh feeling too when typing on my 2nd keyboard. And bear in mind that I only use 3 buttons on that keyboard, control, tab and W.

There are more and more choices appearing lately. You might not like Rosewill if you're using your media keys alot. They don't have any

I also need to understand the reasoning in choosing the type of switches more.

Why is it that those with tactile feedback is not recommended for gaming? I see that Reds, Blacks are more for gaming and the rest mainly for typing with Browns as the midway for all of them.

Preference being said, majority of the people don't like tactile feedback when gaming?
