Heard people saying that rings drop in 2.1 will have 5 primary affixes, so it's possible to have a quadfecta + socket.

But sadly, those gems are really weak, hardly even considered legendary. Upgrading it also is very retarded. The only thing I look forward in 2.1 is ramalamadingdong's gift.

One run T6 can get average 3M if you play all the way. So 7-8 run can get 20M on my current WD pet build

DHs are in a good position in PTR solo greater rifts.

I reached tier 32 and got placed around #360. The same timing would've been top #100 in other classes thumbup.gif

Definitely can, i run T6 rifts all the time that is 1600% GF + my items 133% GF and plvl adds GF also.

Not DH, it's called the M6 class. Other builds for DH is not as viable.

After another test drive, frustrated at the new punishment change, I tried out the reworked Shadow power and its surprsingly very good! thumbup.gif

Gloom is of course the only rune worth using, this feels like the old gloom tank dh used to know! biggrin.gif
With my cold strafe build, in the down time, just spam gloom + evasive fire focus and regain back hatred pool in no time. I can totally see myself equipping the reworked shadow set.

Between gloom and the new dex change (dex>armor), its almost impossible to die.

Live client I barely can do T3, ptr can do gr22 currently flex.gif

I haven't tried PTR with my new equips yet (running a M4/N3 combo), but I still think completely removing dodge is a bad idea.

Dodge has saved me from countless of deaths by ranged mobs (scattered everywhere) while I was aiming at packs at another location. And while I tested in PTR (at T3 no less), I felt like I take similar amount of damage as I do now on live, but without the benefit of dodging projectiles, which sucks.

I just hope they will fix this to give us something like X% to dodge and 0.5 armor per DEX instead.

When it comes down to it, the changes was made with better survivability in mind, dodge being rng based and armor the more reliable one. Im sure for some cases, dodge can be superior.

Im not worried on that front, since if its inferior (which highly improbable) than current dodge system, the numbers can always be tweaked.

It works for monks cos theyre melee, so pretty much the same like barb. but for ranged like dh, maybe will pose a problem, I dont know. So far for me works alright.

Anyway, already surveyed the legendary gems.

Will probably have:
1. Gogok of Swiftness
2. Bane of the Trapped
3. Taeguk

So yes, Dodge is still a good damage mitigation. This is the only type of 'RNG' I fully support, as when you stack more DEX, your chances to dodge get higher, and better.

The DR (Diminishing Returns) per point of DEX for dodge is lower (or if it even exists) versus DEX for armor, so it's still better in some ways.

Like CHC scaling, having a dodge chance of 50% or higher means 1 out of 2 projectiles (and affixes like mortar, frozen, etc.) will be dodgeable. In 2.1, this will be completely benign or for all cases of DH, cease to exist. The only class that can dodge from that patch onward is a Monk, which with all due respect that that class needs it, I think DH should not be discounted for our dodging capabilities either.

True, at later levels of GRifts and higher Torment levels, DH are inevitably forced to tank stuff, it still doesn't excuse Blizz from completely removing this from all classes. Every single class may not benefit from the Dodge mechanics, but DH (and especially Monks) do. I still think a compromise of per point of DEX for dodge and armor is the best way.

Blizz just did not adapt the dodging mechanics well from D2 to D3, and that's why it's in a hot mess now.

For me, I might go with Simplicity's Strength + new Depth Diggers to make my bolas explode for around 400% weapon damage, as I don't really like the M6 playthrough (tried it, I didn't like it) and will probably stick with M4/N3 combo.

The other gems seem like a lackluster, so I don't even bother trying to get those and to upgrade them.

Forget about dodge, the rule of thumb for now is, DH must be able to survive 2 x thunderstorm at T6. tongue.gif

I agree that we need better survivability, but taking dodge away completely is ridiculous. Blizz has a habit of 'balancing' things by giving you something, then taking them away. Good God, this is not an MMO and who gives a crap if a class is better than the others, we are not competing much anyway and Blizz has to understand this.
