Mind help to figure what's wrong with my mum's S3.
Ps. The pictures below are portrait large.

Yesterday, I left the S3 charging around 54% took a screenshot, then left it there.


Around 11.00-12.00, my mom take pictures of her lanterns for almost 15 minutes,unplugged from the charger, the battery dropped to 40%...

This Morning I wake up took a screenshot it's only 60%.

The Charger I've been using for these whole time. USB Cable + Wall Adapter


Then I switch over to my brother's charger. Straightly a plug outs. It's a full cable. This Charged 65% afterwards for 15 minutes.

Strictly speaking, warranty is voided if rooting detected by service center. But it seems most of the time, it will be repaired anyway depending on their discretion.
If this is a concern, and you want to be 101% sure of warranty, don't root.

If rooted on ICS, using triangle away to reset status allows OTA update there are challenges on JB.
If rooted on JB, using triangle away is stilly unlikely to allow OTA updates.

If you want to be rooted on 4.1.2 or higher, suggestion is do not use OTA updates as the bootloader will be updated as well. This updated 4.1.2 bootloader will cause a red exclamation mark at top left of the screen to be shown while booting; this cannot be reset by triangle away and is a sign of rooted device/custom ROM etc.

To avoid new bootloader being installed, flash 4.1.2 using Kies or Mobile ODIN. PC ODIN will by default flash the new 4.1.2 bootloader as well.

All this of course, depends on the 4.1.2 for Malaysia (XME) being finally released 
Unless you want other countries 4.1.2 firmware, which is available now of course. UK one is the one most people here using I think.

I guess none of the telco can ensure your connection is always H+ cause in certain location signal is strong and some is weak where our S3 will shift from E, 3G, H, H+...

I am using Maxis and saw it's switching all the time... same with my celcom friend.. digi friend... ..

This problem occurred after updated to 4.1.2

Just upgrade my friend non root - stock to latest v4.1.2 XXEMA2 firmware. Notice baseband was XELK1 which same as WanamLite v5.6

and WanamLite with Perseus at my phone was much smoother than origin stock.

My was using HD weiget but weather base on accweather also same.  I think accweather got bug.

I think I can't help you that, I never check and bother on battery consumption, I give up on that, as long it give me 1 day, I am fine.

Those 80mb to 100mb is AOKP, AOSP ROM, which is not Samsung ROM, no Samsung features.

For stock ROM feel, most famous was WanamLite and Omega.

hi guys! my baby bro owns a S3 and recently someone pushed him while he was typing and the phone drops on the tar road. the screen is fine but the bezel is badly damaged.

he says it's fine but i know it isn't since the phone is still quite new. any one knows any replacement or how much does it cost to have it replaced at SC? anyone done it before?

also, any recommended case with a flip cover? i've used a nilikin one for my Xperia S before this. it's nice but doesn't last long. heard bad reviews of SPG. users rec?

WanamLite / Omega got all stock functionality, both was enhancement of stock ROM without dismiss any functionality of it, and you can select which extra so call bloatware during installation.

you mean the ultra bumper? can't find the neo hybrid for S3. only for iphone. 

but cover bumper only.  my bro want cover the back part also. 

OWHHHHHHH.....!!! my fault. haha! cz for the iphone one (Neo Hybrid Ex) don't have back cover so i naturally assumed this doesn't have back cover too..
