according to xda, download the emmc apps can check board revision number, old one is VTU000M 0fx1 while the new one is VTU000M 0fx7.

key in this number also, *#12580*369#, check board firmware model. 1.1 is old, new is 1.5. new board release around dec last year, if phone age is more than 2 months old then let dont your hope so high.

other than this duno what is the most accurate method to check and probability is there, wont know until phone is dead lol.

nope, my phone has been rooted and has root apps. device is modified and there wont be auto update.

for Nexus pure Android experience is good, but too less function, play awhile feel boring already
I recommend get any phone (except nexus) and play aokp rom, like this also can enjoy the nexus feel
