It is recommended to reset to prevent any fc.factory reset will wipe u data only, won't wipe away ur rom version. No worry.

Recommended way is: be4 flash/upgrade, wipe cache, dalvik and also factory reset. Once flash/upgrade, reset again. This is what normally I do to ensure no fc or error.
Ppl just about flash 4.1.2 and u asking for 4.2 dy!! Haha! Then when is key lime pie yo? Lol

Need help, i have downloaded 4.1.2 from Sammobile, stock ROM. Now, how to flash through Kies with this? Where should i put the file in so Kies no need to download again ??

New features in 4.1.2 are cool, I like those very much and happy with it.

Only one issue annoying me, I don't know why but my Gallery is so lag!
Browsing with the most basic style (folders at left, contents at right), the animation are lag and choppy!
Even browsing camera folder at Internal Memory so lag, so I believe it has nothing to do with MicroSD read speed.

Already tried clear Gallery cache and data, no improvement at all.

Can anyone suggest a solution? I prefer not to use third party or something like QuickPic app. 

EDIT: Funny is, tried change to Spiral and Forward scrolling (like Star Wars style) style are smooth.
Another thing, I got around 6 folders and with less than 50 photos in each folder except one folder with not more than 100 photos.

Just sent my S3 for service for the hairline cracks that appeared on my phone again for the 2nd time.

this time, the worker there told me i'm unable to claim warranty because the cracks aren't covered under warranty, which is true. just have to wait and see if they accept or not.

my previous encounter was good because the worker helped me put LCD problem to successfully claim warranty.
