It is better for you to check it in real life. See the LED will strain your eye. It is very subjective. Which each ppl eye is different.

For the size, get the biggest you can if no budget. With 3D is good.

The saleman is write for the LED too bright base on my experience. I hardly set the led bright. The picture color become too saturate and it strain my eye with the strong led light. Those showroom demo the samsung with bright led and nice color are not for real world use.

hmm.. i just want a tv that has really good HD quality ( i dont have Byond, going to get it soon) and i dont watch DVD(bluray)... so basically just for TV use, but the salesman(i came across another 1 in HN) he stated that if u get TV only very waste because top up few K then can get Smart TV.. so im not sure.. and if i intend to get 70'' good HD TV what brand would u recommend? my friend recommended me Panasonic Viera..

im considering Panasonic,Sharp,Samsung and LG atm.. sony is expensive

We don't have HD quality broadcast channel. You will disappoint with the lcd TV picture quality. Even worst than CRT. You only hope for future TV broadcast in HD. Accept the astro.

If you just use it to watch TV, any brand will do. The bigger the size, the worst quality TV channel you will notice.

Trust your eye and go over to their showroom to check around. smile.gif Smart tv is not really usefull. Slow to suft. I rarely use it. Not worst it with few k to top up for a smart tv.

Sony is 1 of the best picture quality around. Happy hunting. smile.gif

If I got that big amount of budget, I would surely go for the 60" Kuro Plasma from Ebay. By whatever means, just get it shipped from the USA laugh.gif Still beats any TV on the market today....even after 5 years out of production (2008) thumbup.gif

I heard it still very much alive. But in another brand. Sharp elite tv is a joint produce with pioneer. Wonder it is still as good as kuro.
