The seat condition looks bad for a new car.

I wouldn't have taken the car and not sign the inspection sheet as well.

Hi keeting89, I would also suggest that you take a picture of the chassis number and engine number. Post it here online to notify others that this is a used car whatever the outcome is.

Good luck.

Actually u guys should realize that Honda Malaysia have nothing to do with this.

This case originated from the showroom / dealership. Hence, you can read TS' update that Honda Malaysia is liaising with the dealership to offer the best solution for TS.

The most they can do is reprimand the dealership or worst revoke their dealership license.

I think it's unfair to pass off saying that Honda Malaysia is cheating their customer.

Who is selling a used car?
Honda Malaysia? Or the car dealer?

Honda supplies new car to their dealers. And the dealer sells it off. If the dealer sells a user claiming its new Honda will definitely step into intervene.

in the end people will see it as coming from honda.... dealer is in the fine print. many many dealers... one honda
dealer want to take up this franchise but do fakap things.

But they did step in and intervene. Because this case does not profit them but the dealer and it ruins their reputation.

Common sense. If you open a dealership, will you accept used stocks from your manufacturer?

No
but who da hell knows..maybe the dealer didnt check the stocks properly. It happen to many to car dealer..otherwise no people complain about lemon. common sense ler bro nod.gif

First of all, car dealers do not keep huge amount of stock. Secondly, like end consumer, dealership does walkthrough the car once they receive it from manufacturer. I have worked in a market research agency before and I know that.

It's easier for you to spot the bad apple (quite obvious in this case) as a dealership. That is unless you play ignorant and hope your customer doesn't complain.

You're opening a dealership and you need to do sustainable business and make money. If your manufacturer supplies you used stuff I would suggest you don't take up the franchise.

da hell cant brain what u wrote.. rclxub.gif
either u cant comprehend what i wrote or i cant comprehend yours..
the way u replied is as if it was me = dealer.  rclxub.gif

i was discussing about the possibilities of what happen on the occasion between the dealer and the supplier(hundaks), not the the dealer and the buyers..

the dealer might have mischecked it or didnt bother check at all..who knows it might happen..people tends to be careless/lazy sometimes..but then, didnt hundaks qc personnels check their goods first before distributing to dealers? rclxub.gif

so for me, hundaks should be hold responsible as well, instead of ping ponging around..
*
Dealer might have mischecked - with a seat that looks like it has been shat on, and no plastic cover? How can you not see that? Dealer's fault.

People tends to be careless/lazy sometimes - Makan gaji buta. Dealer's fault.

Didn't hundaks qc personnel check their goods first before distributing to dealers? - isn't there a possibility Honda supplied new car but dealer try to sell a demo car so that they can profit more? Also dealer's fault.

ok you win..

then why drag hundaks into this mess? just go settle with the dealer lor..

btw, how long is your waiting period for that car (from the moment you placed your order)?
*
Simple, Honda give these dealers rights to carry their flagship cars and brand. Car dealership not only have to sell but deal with after sales service as well. If the dealers are not doing a job you can bring it up to them. Then, like what TS say, Honda will investigate it with the dealer.

As for waiting period, it's not fixed. When the 8th generation civic was launched there are some buyers who waited for 4 months before they get the keys.
