People have no desire to talk about a new modem, a problem with router or network problem at this point. They all are useless when everything they worry is the freaking cap, did I exceed my quota today? Oh God, I'll exceed my quota before the next cycle. Oh God why. Why did I download the porn. Etc etc etc.

You just connect and disconnect to get the usual speed. No harm in trying.![]() does this mean when i disconnect my line im dead to turtle speed??damn it, i still have files to get from my company server , have to drive back to office like that ....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz |

Capped? Nolah. If the speed were capped after RM250, basically you can use 25MB only (10sen/10KB). But many cases of bill shock, you'll encounter people who used way too much than 25MB.

QUOTE(aneip @ Jan 20 2013, 11:54 PM) They already waived the charges. But what hit me is, they saying the charges is correct through comprehensive investigation without even explaining how they said it's valid. Bukan ada cap RM250 for data? How sampai RM2700?Then they add, "in our spirit of resolving this matter amicably, have accorded waiver RM29.70".. something like this.. Kami dah semak habis, caj tu betul.. Tapi xpe la, kami bagi la waiver.. |

QUOTE(hyperyouth_firepower @ Jan 21 2013, 10:43 AM) at this point people are qq-ing about why those who paid for 68 get a similar metered cap of those who paid 99. That's the main contention. Otherwise, it would have just reverted to pre-cap drama of "cap ayam vs ori legacy" (which i still find funny but disturbing). 384kbps is not EDGE, it's 3G.i don't see Maxis solving this fiasco easily. They took the easy way out on the unlimited metering, then on the quota check, who knows what next? The only thing I don't and will not want to be is to be, like on some forumer's sake, a white mice to try go against the quota. Though there are rumours of people getting their line and quota back to unlimited (i can't verify, not unless there's proof) i'm not going to speculate. Then again, if i were to continue on the issue of best value of RMxx.yy per 1GB of data (up and down) then it'll be on another thread. Then again, for some of us who are totally dependent on wireless coverage due to no landlines, (in my case i'm stuck to either maxshit / celsucks) then the choice is obvious; to find the best value between the two and squeeze what i can squeeze through. So back to the original question, being metered is not a problem, but being slowed down below 128kbps is a shame. I wouldn't mind taking DiGi's 384kbps EDGE unlimited, at the very least i could still play WoW on that. |

VPN is legit, Maxis won't block the VPN. Period. But they will block the loophole. What is the loophole? The one that can bypass throttled speed. So, if you all were wise men, stop talking about bypassing with VPN and don't let the history repeat itself.

Welp, I don't mind people b****ing about it, I don't mind the 30GB cap either. But I do mind when the speed I got only quarter of the speed before 30GB cap. What's your excuse, Maxis?

If the Time fibre were available in my hometown, I'll take the most expensive plan and ditch Maxis. But, as you can see, their coverage sucks big time!
