maxis LTE is overrated shakehead.gif shocking.gif doh.gif sweat.gif rclxub.gif

now the LTE capacity is not congested at all and yet only clock this speed,..

what happen in future when LTE capacity is full ? i guess those not able to log on LTE will be kick back to 3G,.. and it will be like singapore LTE for sure hmm.gif

my UMTS 900MHz band on Single channel also get better speed and ping than that rclxms.gif

i can guarantee you that is not LTE,

LTE Upload speed will be a few time than that,..

i am sure he is log on with HSPA+ or D-HSPA+ speed only,.

not even half of what so called LTE,.

I'm currently using DiGi. I was thinking of switching to Maxis because the Speedtest look to be fantastic. I'm currently hesitating because I do have a couple of friends complaining. Two of the common issues they face - random disconnect, full signal but cannot surf.

Is this normal? How often do these things happen?
*
well is depends,

sometimes when cell tower u are connected to if really congested or running overload in capacity, u will face high ping or frequent Diconnected,

or when your device is under power, your connection will be DC too

and also make sure u need to check your device setting if u are using 3G/4G router, make sure u set IDLE timeout = 0,. too,

or your DHCP lease time sometimes will cause DC in timeout in certain firmware like openwrt or ddwrt in router notworthy.gif

sometimes they saw LTE icon on their phone, but doesn't mean u can clock LTE speed,.

and singapore LTE have capacity , it is like first login first serve basic,...

so i guess malaysia LTE will be the similar too hmm.gif

I laugh.gif 8Mbps and consider LTE speed? tongue.gif

I tried before LTE in office and it clocked 80Mbps. biggrin.gif The engineers who performed demo told me that, the speed that can be anticipated is around 60Mbps.
That was 2 years ago. tongue.gif

I busuk-busuk also can get more than 15Mbps in PJ. tongue.gif

i LOL when i saw that Thread Lumia920 LTE speed,..

that was few years ago for sure laugh.gif

Guys, i went to maxis klcc today. There's a 4g LTE booth where you can play around (i.e speedtest) with maxis 4g. There's also 2 devices. Nokia lumia 920 and HTC One XL.

Here video of the speedtest. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjuCF1KYkKM&sns=em
I'm quite surprise it's only 30mbps. The ping quite low.
*
oh That Huawei E392... not very good chipset sweat.gif

that's for now even capacity is very empty, imagine in future when the 4G LTE capacity is full every area,.. divide by so many LTE user,.

how fast can each user clock ??? sweat.gif

I am really interested to know the speed if somebody bring a E398 there laugh.gif

Anyway, speed is not amazing, some people manage to reach this at DC-HSPA+

Time to look back Celcom LTE brows.gif
*
honestly for that DL speed, easily can get that in my ex places ( muntri street ),..

only perks is the high upload speed that bring along with lower PING,..

i think the LTE trial booth celcom one is far better than maxis LTE trial booth speed icon_idea.gif

guessing that there will be no more unlimited plan in the far future...
tower would be less congested.
*
no matter congested or not,

dont forget maxis does manage your P2P and HTTP both Speed during peak hour in high density/full capacity area,..

so no matter less congested and less user, u will wont get 80~90% speed of LTE, due to Load Balance

Add a caption : Unless you live in Putrajaya brows.gif

Known for one of the highest speed laugh.gif
*
well not everyone stay in putrajaya,.

if every maxis LTE user squeeze in putrajaya, am sure putrajaya will become one of the slowest LTE speed area,.

from top drop to bottom directly,. laugh.gif

most user stay all over west malaysia and east malaysia,.

many area/places still didnt really fully up to backhaul bandwidth and increase capacity yet,..

so wondering other than Klang/KL, other area will have the same progress or will have to wait until ( dont know how long later ,.. )_ hmm.gif
