I have just brought a brand new HDTV and to my amazement it has no left & right audio ports. I am trying to connect my xbox 360 HD component cables, now there are holes for the Green Red and Blue cables, so i receive picture, but yet there are no yellow and red audio holes, how on earth am i going to get the audio from my 360 to work? I dont have the HDMI xbox, so that isn't an option.

Although i'm not sure which speakers you're using but I'd like to share my experience.

I had problem with the sound when I first set up as well. My samsung monitor doesn't come with speakers. I used HDMI to connect xbox with my monitor for video.

For audio, I'm using the xbox av cable which comes with the package. Mine is xbox 360 slim so the xbox av cable has a plastic tab designed to block user from plugging HDMI into xbox. In order for me to plug the xbox av cable and HDMI at the same time into my xbox, I had to break open the plastic cover so I can also plug in the HDMI cable to my xbox at the same time. =D

That gives me both video and audio!
