Currency Exchg Rate is playing an important tool ..

SGD 1 Dollar = MYR 2.5 in S'pore REIT Dividend Payout Qtrly ?

While In Bursa Msia REIT = Buy in MYR , Sell in MYR , Dividend in MYR .. Ratio 1:1

If u want better yield + ROI, S'pore REIT Dividend(with higher currency exchg rate) will be
much better than Msia REIT Dividend. All the best.

Everything except house(home) is a LIABILITY including GF/BF!

So, I stick by my conclusion. Divi Warrior is an EXCELLENT SAVER and he can RETIRE EARLY than most of us.
Good job, stick with the plan!

Greetings + G'Day,

Great Saver and can retire very soon, BUT how about his/her real life ? In S'pore, very tough to survive for
both Msian/S'porean. In S'pore, u no need car, as public transport are efficient.. But, how abt HOUSE?? Damn expensive ..

E.g of Real Life are Family, Excitement/Entertainment, Vacation, Luxury Gadgets/Exercise tools/Car, ..etc..etc

Hope ppls understand what is life about ..

Have a great day.

Greetings + G'Day,

Conclusion = What is the BEST Passive Income from Dividend after so long discussion?

S'pore REIT Or USA Stock or Other ? Greater currency exchg rate is playing critical role, but yr costs are
huge too. IMHO, timing to enter, keep and hold the stocks are great decision-making.. No EXIT, as it
generates good ROI.

Have a great day.

What I admire in Dividend Warrior is his frugal living to save cash for accumulating dividend stocks even with his somewhat average/slightly above average income. smile.gif

He/She continuously save a lot monthly for many many years. perhaps he/she don't have other commitments like
home, car + family in S'pore ? Imagine a house in S'pore would be 300% of all the present shares he/she owned now.
WAIT for good retirement with the monthly dividends if he/she stay in M'sia.

Study Case:-
3 of my friends were very lucky bought USA stocks during Credit Financial Crisis 2008-2009.
Lowest in DJIA and S&P were between 5th March - 10th March 2009.. Price of LVS below USD1.70
Symbol = Las Vegas Sands (LVS) and Yesterday close = usd 52.74 Dividends to-date = usd 3.75 ( 4 yrs )
Average Cost for 1000 units = usd 1.50 X 3.8 (assume highest currency exchg rate that time) = rm 5800(plus broker fees). The dividends with deduct tax 30% = usd 3.75 X 1000 X 0.7 = usd 2,625

your cost = rm5800 ( 5th March - 10th March 2009)
yr total dividends = usd2,625 X 3.1 (present currency exchg rate) = rm 8,100 (with broker fees deducted).

Gross Value of LVS share = usd 52 X 3.1 = rm 161K ..
after 4 years holding + keep. ( Gross Value + Dividends = rm161K + rm 8k = rm169K Ratio Gain = 2900% )
Above calculation for 1000 units only.. If he/she got 2000 units or more of LVS ? LVS highest price = usd 138.
Will history repeats? study case only.

Nice sharing  nod.gif netmask.

can you share the view for those stock like AIG during the financial crisis 2008-2009?
What the stock worth now?

notworthy.gif  forgive me - not yet venture to US stock  notworthy.gif
*
a little input only since u asked.
AIG is my 1st USA shares i bought after being introduce it by AIA insurance agent back to year 2008-2009
around usd1.20 . (Dream big to become millionaire that time with AIG historical charts). But i sold it just below usd 1.80 few months before it got reverse split 20=> 1 . Its huge debts and loans make me feels uncomfortable, even i knew AIG 's estates were big enough to sustain and pay-back the debts..AIG got many commercial business beside insurance/financial. I prefer to put my $$ in USA bank stock instead of AIG..

AIG Msia == >> Chartis and now, Chartis ==>> AIG ? Sorry guys, stop here we talk abt passive dividends per the Thread.

If yr family or u r working in MNC(listed), employees/staffs were entitled to buy MNC shares/stock through
monthly salary deduction( 1- 10% of basic salary) and company will help and liase with broker(Etrade/UBS/Charles Schwab) to purchase MNC stock for u every half yearly.

Company Stock whom employees buy is entitled for 15% discount of the MNC (listed) at company share price lowest
for the past 6 months. Price lowest for the past 6 months and 15% discount are able to pull talent staffs.
Stock Options and Restricted Stock Units(RSU) are other great benefits and compensation too..

If u want to trade NYSE/NASDAQ/Frankfurt ..etc..etc go and work in MNC ..
