Fonepad? I did get my first hands on with it before it was announced. Didn't impress me as much as I had thought it would though.

This note 8 is sleek! Performance wise, it really delivers! You can take it head to head with the N7, but on 3D gaming, the N7 has a slight upperhand due to its 12-cores GPU.

So far, only downer is the plastic casing - but that's just typical samsung. At least, this time they have a metal bezel around the sides. I'll be having an in-depth review on my blog soon.

Yep, got it locally..The screen of the note 8 is way nicer than the fonepad bro..Price itself speaks..The RRP in Malaysia will be RM1699 but you can definitely negotiate with some shops to get at least Rm1600 by next week..This device wins over fonepad hands down..Performance, display, everything..Fonepad only wins over the hardware build because of its metallic back..

I went to lowyat yesterday..The whole lowyat and no one was carrying it yet..Even Samsung shops said that they will only receive it next week..At the moment, Malaysia is only getting the white model..Black will only follow in the next batch..

Oh, and there is no LTE..only 3G and WiFi..

Only reason i picked note 8 over nexus 7v2 is because of the phone feature. This allows you to receive whatsapp, sms, etc.

Why frustrated? I think the display is just perfect. Games look nice, reading is vivid, it kicks the ipad mini's display out and it works fine under the sun too..yes, its 1280 x 800 only, but that's really fair enough for a good display..

Do keep in mind, display is the highest consumer in your device and higher resolution will just resort in quicker battery drain

nope..N7C (3g) does not allow whatsapp..the sms validation does not take place in the first place..

The battery is actually very good indeed! 4600mAH does deliver its promise. I got a total of 1.5 days on pretty heavy usage in single charge!

Get a case and you will do just fine..I also like dark devices, this one was an exception. But with the case that I got, its doing pretty well

Well, like all devices, its always recommended to do that to get the full potential of the battery. While this is subjective, I suggest you search the forum as this has been discussed countless of times..lets not start another battery-argument here

Yep, using with the SIM card..I ended up sleeping at 4am just trying to use up all the battery..It's really good..I had 4 hours of continuous gaming and only used about 50% of the battery..

If you want like mine, a quick option is to go to Sunway Pyramid instead..The Samsung shop has them both..Screen protector and the book case like mine..They been having it before even having the stock and I bought mine there, so its not going to waste your trip

The auto on function will use up the battery though.. You can also activate voice recognition to wake up the device..but that too, will drain the battery unnecessarily..Of course, its cool though

It will be pretty fast..This device is too new, so the price is at its peak currently..Within the next two weeks or so, you should be able to get it for RM1499 supposedly..
