Just bought the Note 8! Nice tablet, nicer than Nexus 7 seriously. It's ugly but features wise, I love it..

I really love the tablet. The experience on it is beyond what I had expected. It's just, the exterior of it is really ugly if naked lol but now its ugliness is hidden well beneath a flip case... and if only it came with a FHD screen and LTE.. those are the only drawbacks of it.

ya man. and 8" is really good for a tab. 7" is too small, while 10 is too big for me. Note 8 2nd Gen must have at least the appearance of current S4. Bezels too large la with this. Looks ugly seriously lol I don't know how many times I've mentioned that it's ugly but the experience is seriously good!

S-Pen misalignment? by how much? mine seems ok with the alignment. but not sure if the accuracy is better on 4.1.2 ROM since I updated it right after I got it. Maybe a little bit of misalignment of 0.1mm, but doesn't affect my writing style that much.
I can live without the special screen, just sometimes wish could call out the Quick Command page without having to scroll down my notification panel.
Battery is ok for me. Screen-on time is averaging around 5hours+ and running up to one day max. Is it better on 4.1.2 ROM? If standby alone, can go to 2 days+ I think.

All these are based on rooted stock ROM with Greenify enabled.

got the OTA prompting me to update as well but failed maybe because I've flsshed the Wanam Xposed framework. what's the update is all about other than the stated 'stability improvement'? anyone knows?

mind telling what's the full firmware version after the OTA? restored Wanam Xposed to default Samsung setting but when I tried to update it, it failed because system as been modified lol

bro, it was released by Samsung as official release, of course it is stable. You're not talking about custom ROM so basically stock is good enough for average users. It's just, some users here have reported of S pen misalignment on 4.2.2 ROM, but I don't face any issue with it. Tips: After updating to a newer official ROM, if you have any issue, reformat.
