According to SamMobile website, Samsung going to attack iPad Mini with Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 which is 8-inch Android tablet with Pen input. Two version will be available: WiFi and WiFi + 3G. Below is the spec:-

Beside compete with iPad Mini, Samsung also need to compete with upcoming Nexus 7.7. So let the good fight begin ....

Just notice Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 3G version price already drop to RM999. Interesting...

See lah, Samsung Malaysia might decide just to bring in 3G model to compete with iPad Mini 4G version which is around RM1,400 which fit nicely below Galaxy Note 10.1...

Wow, another interesting news on Samsung Galaxy Tab series. Samsung might prepare another tablet called Galaxy Tab 3 featuring 8-inch Full HD display

This Galaxy Note 8.0 is really like Note II with enlarged screen size (5.5" to 8.0" with same resolution). Really tempting to buy 3G version.

The issue is how Samsung going to price this product which supposedly compete with upcoming new iPad Mini with LTE data support...

I think Samsung also afraid of jeopardize sales of Note II, hence the quiet of retail pricing...

I actually think Samsung need to position this model aggressively price to compete with upcoming iPad Mini with LTE support. So for me, the sweet price would be RM1,399 for Samsung Note 8.0 with 3G phone support...We shall see months later tongue.gif

I don't think Samsung Malaysia going to bring in 4G/LTE version cause our LTE network not really ready yet...
