I'm still using my old case but I took the magnet out. Used some metal to figure out where it was then used a pen knife to cut the case open, took out the magnet and glued the case back.

No more screen on off problems!

Any pics? Charger pin bent? How did it drop? I thought the charging port was recessed.

Any of you here tried do some word processing using note 8.0? Multitask, copy and paste table like what you would normally do using a laptop?

i put on the table. all of a sudden drop. bout a meter height. didnt snap picture. it bent at the USB connector pin. i already repair the cable. cant be perfect as new one .. Lucky i got friend working in samsung CS, he gave me a new ori usb cable...fiuh.

will take picture and compare the damage this evening.

can this tab be rooted? Im considering Note 8.0 vs Asus Fonepad.

The biggest pros I think is only RAM whilst the price of Note 8.0 is double of Asus.

Anyone know how this processor compare to Fonepad's Atom performance??

not really . galaxy note 8.0 is not a usual tablet . it has a S-PEN . and it can be used as a phone too .

Anybody kind enough to post screenshot of facebook app? is the fonts comfortable to read on or is it too small?

I still remember Tab 7.7 where the fonts were too small and i had to use facebook from the browser instead of the app...i sold that 7.7 just because of that hehe...

Hand itchy...feel like swapping my ipad mini for note 8.0. I use ipad mini a lot at work for pdf review, etc but find the stylus writing experience quite bad. Thus the propose switch....

after few days with this device, I'm beginning to appreciate d form factor as opposed to my previous nexus 10

it's lightweight, responsive suiting my everyday usage and more importantly increasing d productivity with s-pen
