at first i wanna get lenovo k900. but then i like S-Pen n ya, need to do notes, especially the cutting n pasting. i also want to use d camera to snap notes from the board n paste in my notes. but then Note 8 camera so - so haha

not suggested to take picture in note 8, the pictures quality are just...meh. For me I just take with my phone.
For college use I suggest note 8, big screen some more, like me I just put all my lecture notes in my tablet so it's quite convenient when I need to revise something.

Note II not bad also but I personally feel it's quite small for a note taking devices.

Oo..manggg..this Note really cumbersome to flash
I flash emwo aCWM and manage to make Nandroid and efs backup. Then I try to flash his EMk3 custom kernel via aCWM and the phone go blank...lolz

Manage to go into recovery and restore Nandroid then only manage to boot up. Try reflash that custom kernel and having the same blank screen again.
Another Nandroid and I lost interest already. Triangleaway the phone and flash stock recovery...much safer that way.
Gonna wait till have stable CWM/TWRP/Philz recovery first

Yeah..the problem is...our emwno (the aCWM and EMk3 dev) don't even have Note 8.0. He just built the CWM and kernel..base from open source github

the other cwm is working fine... i'm using that one.

You're using which custom recovery. .?
I 'm not sure either the CWM or the kernel giving me problem

Better stay with 4.1.2. Some known problems with 4.2.2:
- S-pen misalignment. The drawing has some offset from the tip of the pen where it touches the screen.
- The special screen when you pull out the S-pen (S-pen screen) and put in the headphone jack (multimedia screen) is no longer available in 4.2.2.
- Possibly of higher battery consumption.

Hi guys Just got myself this tab. is this normal? can't set specific item to sync. For example, I don't want to sync Picasa. Any suggestions? Thanks.

There is a page that you can choose what to sync, just click on your email

S-Pen misalignment? by how much? mine seems ok with the alignment. but not sure if the accuracy is better on 4.1.2 ROM since I updated it right after I got it. Maybe a little bit of misalignment of 0.1mm, but doesn't affect my writing style that much.
I can live without the special screen, just sometimes wish could call out the Quick Command page without having to scroll down my notification panel.
Battery is ok for me. Screen-on time is averaging around 5hours+ and running up to one day max. Is it better on 4.1.2 ROM? If standby alone, can go to 2 days+ I think.

All these are based on rooted stock ROM with Greenify enabled.

If only on standby mode..it's more than 2 days.
My phone left on standy mode for 4 days and it use oly 18% of battery juice. That mean it can hold roughly 15 - 20 days if left untouched
