Suggestion: how about doing something for the fund raising instead of just asking for donations? I think people would be more willing to give in exchange for something, to show your sincerity. Or else most people will just think it's a scam for money.
E.g. sell your stuff and all proceeds go to your charity. Or donate your time, service, expertise etc in exchange for funds.
Hello Dagashi!
Thank you very much for your suggestion.
I'm doing this for the first time so I don't really know what's the best way to raise funds other than personally asking for donations.
I think I'll use your suggestion which is to sell some of my things to raise money.
I'm afraid I won't be able to donate time now because I have classes to attend and tests to study in school.
By the way, what I meant when I said I'm donating my birthday for charity is that I'll not be celebrating my birthday, which means no birthday cake, no birthday gifts etc.
I know it may seem like no big deal for most people, but I'm used to celebrating birthdays with friends and family for the past 21 years.
So I'm really hoping people would donate in return for that.
Anyway, thanks again for your suggestion! I'd definitely do that for my next birthday.
