Anywho, the Fitbit Flex is out for those interested.

http://www.engadget.com/2013/05/06/fitbit-flex-review/

In a nutshell, it's a value for money tracking band with BT & NFC.

But cumbersome to use (sleep tracking) & some of the features aren't as good as the UP for now.

Jawbone UP is just the thing for me......most reviews I read mentioned the lack of wireless connectivity to sync to be a drawback for this device.

My argument is that for a device that is made to be worn 24/7/365, I'd be more reassured of being safe without the radio waves hitting on me 24/7/365. Even though bluetooth may just emit a low power RF. It is still a microwave RF which may not see significant effects to the human...but you have to think about the significance of wearing it all the time. It is still a transmitter.

I am not sure about the rest, but I'd stay away from those bands with wireless connectivity.

Added you already bro.

Nope, not necessary to calibrate. Just input your details i.e. age, weight & height and you're good to go.

Thanks for the advice. For charging, can I charge through USB charger instead of charge through laptop?

Shouldn't be an issue.

So far I've tried to charge via the following methods and it works:
1. iPhone charger
2. Cigarette lighter
3. Portable battery

Good to know more and more people are getting UP. Me averaging 6-7K steps a day, but sleep wise, almost 7 hours per day.

That's great, time to bump it up to 10k. I usually get 6-7k at work but once I hit the malls, 10k can be achieved.

Great, 7 hours is good.
