Hi all, I am looking for a good amplifier to amp my 80rms component speakers. Is there any recommendation of good 2ch amplifier for 80rms speakers?
I am now planning to amp with PL-475 with 180W x 2 @ 4Ω (Bridged).. Is it too much for 80rms speakers?

Fyi, my budget now around rm600-800.. Thanks in advance.. smile.gif

For SQ, better dun bridge.

Any amp with 100Wrms will be good.

Dun need to remind you loh, RM500 amp compared with rm5000 amp, even though both rated at 100Wrms, the more expensive one will sound 10 times better lah =D

Hi, Howie.. Do you sell any good quality amp with rms100w? Prefer 2ch amp without bridging.
Used unit also will do for me but must in good working condition. smile.gif
My budget around rm600-900. smile.gif

GM-6500F is 4ch rite.. It will produce 2x180rms after bridging..
How about GM-5500T (2ch) which produce 2x125rms without bridging?
Which one will be more suitable?

Mind sharing what brand and model is ur component which has 80 rms watt? No harm getting a more power full amp but its no harm also to use an amp which is rated 60-70rms.Many of the good quality amps are actually underrated. They supply more then rated in the box.

Do not install a GM-5500 to the mtx mercury
its too much power when u crank up the volume or playing low bass tunes
it melted my tweeters connection tongue.gif

learn from my mistake doh.gif

btw, i hear no difference in sound quality compared to running the mtx to the HU sweat.gif
when i say no difference, i mean from 100Hz frequency onwards lar, tat i leave it to my subs to handle tongue.gif

Do you have any good amp to recommend? Or any brand which provide good sound quality?

speaker doesn't simply blow by power..it simply blow by frequency.

If you are driving a ferrari with v8 engine inside, does it means you must always drive at 300km/h ? will the v8 engine make your cruising speed at 110km/h more stable?
