New car no need la...and bear in mind not all parts in the car must be 100% tight fit, some need room of flexibility ..imagine if ur suspension no spring...what will happen  ?

correct.. fittings in all cars regardless interior and exterior must have some space allowed for expand and shrink (don't know what is it called for Science term) for all kinds of weather changes (cold - hot)..
