Try filling with RON97 petrol first and observe. See if knocking dissipates.
If it does, prolly u need to check on your car electrical/firing system. Engine knocking could be due to incomplete combustion.
But first and foremost, are you ABSOLUTELY sure the sound u heard is due to engine knocking?

Once there was a taxi driver hit my car(still) from the back, settle it over the weekend. Honest and trust-able, sometimes we must give chance. Anyhow, taxi driver cannot run away wan. That's why I quite ok. lol

Hello all Sifu, finally I got my white forte 2.0 yesterday.  Thanks for all the advices that I got previouly from all of u.

From who I get my new forte?

Of course Is Edwin Loh from AZ motor seri kembangan. Highly recommend him to those who planned to buy new Forte. I purposely travel more than 100km from Slim River to his place to get my car from him,  so u know how good, Helpful, honest person he is.

Get someone with experience (trust-worthy friend whom has knowledge about cars/engines) to listen to the same sound and determine if it really emanates from the engine.

Hi sifusssss, I received my 2.0 forte last week. I'm wondering it is common or my car FC is higher? according to the meter, it shown 12.6/100km. is it normal for new car 2.0 or my driving skill problem? stuck in the jam, it will count as well? I stuck in the jam last monday for almost 2hrs, is that causing this?

and changing to iridium plug and K&N filter will help? thanks thanks

Firstly, I asked sc boss and he said to fix the whole thing cost me 600-800, I was shock!
Then, I saw someone post in forte club via FB, he has fixed the insulator in sc by warrant claim.

After that, I call to NAZA ask whether the issue is under warranty, the Naza staff said this issue already announce in bulletin (not sure where to find it). They can fix it under warranty.

They have arrange the nearest Naza sc call me to "recall" my car to fix the issue. However, I didn't go back to Naza sc for the claim.

Finally, I have decided to go back the sc I visit frequently bcoz of good workmanship.

After clarified, the staff told me the cup holder area is under warranty, fixing the insulator is FOC.
But the USB console that area doesn't cover in warranty. To fix the whole thing from the whole center console cost 600-800.

And now the cup holder is less warm but cannot fix completely due to the airbag control/component is under the cup holder, they cannot put too thick insulator to avoid the airbag component lost function..

Already few weeks, I don't hear any rattling sound.
They really did good job!

you used to be saying FC is higher than Corolla Altis and Civic and Forte is a cheap car cannot compare with others.. "sweat" now different cerita pulak ? 

Forte 1.6 power to weight ratio not that good compare to Civic.. Altis 1.8E I often get 9.5liter/100km steady.. yours 9L/100km wokay mah..

I personally think bhp makan minyak slightlyyyy more than Petronas and Caltex.. you pump in Caltex got "klak klak klak" engine sound when morning startup.. ?

PS: if u liking Forte jgn malu2 and kasi konpius orang mah.. XX ask are you ready for XX.. ?? ppl really shout NO.. RTM news edited video become YES pulak.. mem-per-siah-sui-kan..

As advised by warranty department, they are not advising you to change the k5 rims to your forte vehicle tyre. This is due to tyre might be defect cos the size of rims not same as forte. For more details you may approach any Naza Kia Malaysia service branch is nearest to you.

yup, 98k for elantra. Thanks for your great comment, quite neutral but i believe forte is much more reasonable price with those spec.
People way saying k3 is coming soon, but i don't think will come in so early this year, because the Rio just launch only.
another question, lets say if finally i choose the forte 1.6 sx, and i hope to add nice body kit, upgrade sport rim, led light, how much i should prepare to spend for it? I am not so sure for the price. And is it any recommended shop to do MOD for forte?

guys, would like to get some information from you all here. any idea ab the camber reading for kia forte 1.6sx? my camber reading is -2deg(red) for Front LHS and -1deg(green) for Front RHS, NZK Selayang insisted that this is within the range of the spec. I previously told them that my tie-rod is bent(after consulting with 2 tyre-shops) and they insisted that was not the case. Lost confidence.

New user report !! 1.6sx titanium silver.  Seems bit noisy. Will it better for change tyre?? No familliar with all these, any advise? And wat purpose for change tyre and rim?
