I've managed to get the same FC before & after TCU Reflash. The first 2 days I got higher FC. As I got comfortable with the new reflash, FC for city & hiway became the same as before reflash.

Get your car serviced NOW. I don't think anything bad will happen to the car if you continue driving but you might lose the warranty if your don't do your 1000km service now.

Does anyone knows why the car after balancing & alignment feels not good already, i mean the handling. Steering feels light at high speed. Is there any specific settings for the alignment for Preve.

Oh btw i did the alignment at outside not in proton service centre.
*
Some shops use the setting for Inspira when aligning the Preve. NOT GOOD. I had that happen to me once. Sent to another shop that actually has the settings for Preve and everything was good again.

I am going 2nd tank for preve. First tank only can go 293. 2nd tank now half tank left and just go 145km only. Is it the fc will get better in high mileage? Kind of scary fc. Sigh...
*
Just be careful with the throttle. Try not go go higher than 3000rpm. My car is already 19,000km. Average is 8.9 L/100km. Living in Klang Valley, therefore we have traffic jams and highway driving everyday.

Actually not necessary CMOS camera is bad in lowlight....
Try google for CMOS and CCD technology, to me its more on the manufacturer will do.

Many shops can actually help you to install the reverse camera, as long as they are not tempering the wire.
For those who are not aware how should the camera installed on the car to have warranty intact, the actual process is to tap the wire on the original wirehardness.

Tapping is allowed, tempering? No. Basically installer will peel off the wire rubber cover and tap the wire on top of it.

To those who are changing audio HU, I can also share the info how installer do to your car so that warranty will intact even if you change the HU. If you guys need such info, as I think most audio shops won't share with you into such details.
*
Hence why many of us did our reverse camera at EA Autoworks. Their workmanship is excellent. Their price is a bit higher, but I didn't mind that due to their superior workmanship. You also did your sound proofing at EA Autoworks right?

i am driving CFE, chasis 22xxx.

when put the viper to intermittent, and we can adjust the speed with the + and - dial right?
but i found whatever i put the dial, the speed is the same...

anyone experience this also?

thank you
*
You don't adjust the speed, but the sensitivity. It wipes faster as you go faster or as the rain fall harder. When you are stopped the interval becomes longer.

Me too..is this an issue? kinda irritating tat such an expensive radio cant get good reception..RDS also doesnt work when driving to other states..did anyone complaint to SC about this?
*
Check your settings. Setup -> Radio.

I drove from KL - Kedah, Lite FM. Never lost radio signal, never needed to retune the frequency.

BTW forget about those Magnetrap, X1R. Just use good quality engine oil.

Did my 20K km service yesterday. RM301.25. Using fully synthetic engine oil.

Two ways

1) Drive the car, if car easy to move after press pedal, means already reflashed

2) If press the pedal and need to rev before car can move, means ECU belum remap
*
3) During cold start, such as 1st start in the morning:
Remapped: Idle at 1000 rpm or above, then slowly go down to 800 rpm once reaching operating temp
Not remapped: Idle at 800 rpm, whether cold or not. Sometimes rpm move up and down between 700 - 900 rpm, thus causing "heart beat" sensation

Maybe it was a typo on the salesman's part. It might have been RM68,300 instead of RM58,300.

Actually the Preve's engine is a rather tame turbo engine. Ford can get more power and torque in their Ecoboost 1.6 engine. Proton built the engine to be able to run on RON89 and give good reliability for the CVT.

With a manual or dual clutch transmission, the CFE engine can be tuned to make more power and more torque.

Hello everyone.

I just receive my IAFM+ CVT yesterday.

Everything looks perfect

I found when i press the pedal, there is some lagging or sluggish before the car move. Or when during traffic jam, the car seems jerking.

In another word, I don't know whether the gearbox not smooth or the engine not smooth.

Is just fresh from show room less than 100km on the ODO.

Do I need to ask SC for ECU update or whatever thing that I need to do during my first 1k service?

By the way, is the car come with remote boot open? and how to open it?

and how we set the alarm, when i press once - only driver door open, and when i press again all door unlock.

Thank you for all the feedbacks smile.gif

Why not try resetting your throttle.

I got this from Prevec FB. This can help with throttle lag

Bro.. what's a throttle reset? You have tried it? How is it?
*
What it does is reduce the "dead zone" of the throttle. Such as when you touch the pedal, nothing happens, push a bit more, then the rpm rises.

A simple voltage grounding cables should do the job.
A reliable voltage stabiliser + voltage grounding, even better. (Make sure a reliable one, very reliable)
*
Yes, but this is FREE! Nothing is added or removed. Not as good as grounding cable perhaps, but if it is good enough, then it is good enough.

If it is not enough then you can add grounding cable.

I prefer to try the free options first.

any of u guys upgraded the HU 2 a better unit??? i know it voids warranty, but i do feel the current one is somewat lacking in features, also such a waste of space wit such a small screen in that quite big compartment. im not a preve owner, but i tested the HU, n feel it could be very much improved wit a better unit..
*
It is under consideration. I'm thinking:

* Pioneer 2DIN HU
* with Papago GPS
* then put steering adapter so that I can control the HU using my steering wheel button
* connection to my reverse camera
* external mic connection to HU (for phone calls)

I'm budgeting about RM3,000.

But warranty is a concern. So right I just wait & see. What if Androind Head Units become popular? You get lots more control.

*
I'm faily sure you will butthurt. From rumours I heard it will have HID and true DRL. DRL I think is just brighter LED of the same design that we have in the Preve.

Another rumour is that CFE with 6-speed manual. Fast & Furious guys are gonna love this.

Source: Prevoc FB.

But all are rumours, we will wait and see...

fellas, need ur opinion. i was driving to mcd and went for drive thru. while waiting for my meal, suddenly my car cannot move and cvt warning sign appeared. immediately switch off the engine, restart then the warning sign vanish. shud i be worried about this? hv u guys encountered such?
*
You were waiting in D or N or P? I think your CVT overheated and went into "safe mode" of sorts. If idling and not moving for more than 2 minutes, use N.

It is also recommended you read about the Punch CVT in page 1 of this thread.

my car 5.5k mileage is got oil leakage already

the oil is red color anyone know what oil is that ?
*
Power steering. I am not sure the colour of the CVT oil. Usually it is red also. Anyway bring to SC. But I am quite sure it is power steering. Probably a loose connection between the power steering reservoir and the clip that holds the hose.

The Punch CVT is mounted to the left side of the car, if im not mistaken
*
CVT is same side as power steering reservoir. The opposite site of the reservoir is where the timing belt is. That is also where the steering is. I think it is power steering fluid. My old car was leaking power steering fluid. But it take 1.5 months to drop from MAX to MIN. It was a Honda Accord btw.

So to Manlet, I think it is power steering. For peace of mind, bring it to SC.
