To those who feels our preve ICE is bad. Try play your android phone music player, with proper equalizer setting and connect your phone with preve headunit via bluetooth. For sure you will be amazed. Walla, our speakers works well actually, bass also got umphh.

hye guys..
now I am a happy new owner of preve..
so far im pleased with my new ride (superb handling, cool features etc)
except (1) glove box has to pull the lever before closing (always the small things eh)
(2) sluggish response from complete stop..
but yea you gotta love this car guys!

PS: I can't register with prevoc as no email confirmation comes in.. I wonder why...
*
Welcome to the club. For the glove box, it's not an issue meh. You feel sluggish coz of several factor. First you need to know that preve use drive by wire technology that already known of the lag issue. Second, cvt behaviour. Third, because of emmision control, the system works like that.

You must pair your phone with your h.unit first. Password is 1234, then play your music via android phone. Later, select media mode at your h.unit till it appear bluetooth with play and pause button. :-).

can, connect phone wit blutoot, after connect press media botton twice.. android can, iphone can..

guys just asking here, today i floor the car for testing purpose oni, after almost maybe reaching more than 180kph and almost 1km to reach tollbooth i brake to stop the car, quite hard brake,
then the bcm functioning the hazard light blink,
but after speed reduce at around 100kph, the brake gone, damn, overheat maybe
anyone having this issue after testing the preve speed?
*
Me face this too. Your disc is not overheat. But your brakepad overheat. When aftermarket racing brake pad release, go change your brake pad. Try 600'c or 800'c. Our normal brakepad is suitable for normal condition. Not exceeding 350'c I think. But remember, some performance brake pad to hard. Can makan your disc. And some performance brake pad only works at high temp, means no grip when you want to apply brake during slow driving

I think only Preve, every engine got different characteristic. Some more it is turbo engine lol  tongue.gif

my swift which born on 2009 like that, my dad grand starex which factory fitted VGTurbo which born on 2011 also like that, my preve born on 21 july 2012 also same. tongue.gif...so, I can conclude, every new car behave the same way. :-) "bak kata pepatah, enjin belum masak lagi, masih virgin"

It was the rear speaker board I believe.
Take it out, put some clothes on the two clips are without foam.

Then the clips (plastic) will not direct hit the metal frame, hence the sound gone.

Race cars would not be able to make the grid if they are using high temperature brake pads and there is no grip.

Likewise on the 1st lap at SIC, they won't even make it past turn 1 which is a decreasing radius corner quickly followed by turn 2. The entry for turn 1 is way above 120kph when you hit the brakes at the 100m or 50m marker.

Full load going down Genting at the speed limit or single pilot above the speed limit will have your pads reaching 350 degrees easily. If the stock pads are rated at 350 degrees, brake fade will occur.
*
That is why I and matS want to upgrade our brakepad. But none available at the market yet. My previous car already installd endless pad. But before endless I used bendix. Bendix also not bad. The disc rotor no need to change. Stock oem already satisfied. Unless need better stopping power, then will change the bigger rotor or sloted rotor or bigger caliper. 2pot 4pot 6pot, none available for preve yet!

Lol emergency brake is not feature. Maybe after change disc rotor get rid of the helicopter sound when braking, i will test the brake and let u guys know later  icon_rolleyes.gif

I can consider preve is better then my mom's crv n my sister's swift! Both that japs car shake like hell, vibrate so hard when hard braking. I know that abs is working. But it feels like earthquake. In preve, abs working smoothly and silently, not shake like hell and even does't feels any vibration during hard braking.

1.6 IAFM+ has better torque 150nm compared with IAFM 148nm
*
Iafm & iafm+ is not same. Totally different. Iafm+ basically is cfe engine without turbo. Means you can add turbo anytime. Iafm & iafm+ has different engine build up. Difference in diamention, compression, if you really need all the details, you can call proton engineer directly. It is not good to ASSUME this and that.

IAFM and IAFM+ has the same compression ratio (10:1) and displacement. CFE has a lower compression ratio (8.9:1) and slightly lower displacement (lower stroke), not to mention strengthened internals to withstand the higher output.

You can't simply bolt on the BorgWarner turbo on the IAFM+ and call it a CFE. The engine block is the same, the internals are different.
*
I mean, cfe is build based on iafm+, not iafm. That is why iafm+ is different with iafm. Despite the compression ratio iafm n iafm+ is same, but it has different characteristic. Cheers. But doest matter, that is not what we cares, what we care is iafm+ should be better thn iafm. Im using cfe and I fully satisfied with the engine. My mom crv also not perform like cfe 1.6. Harap je vtec 2.0, tp lembap je.

You should consider mirage, alza, or smaller sedan like almera or vios. Not much different FC compare to your viva. If you go for preve,  prepare to pay double for your fuel bill.
*
Daaaa...alza manyak minyak lo..plus tin sekeping also manyak minyak. Why meh? Im proud of proton, not yet reach 1 year, but already rectify preve problem and recall them. Toyota? 2001 altis model baru mau recall tahun ni. People already died on hiway baru mau recall. Same with lexus IS model. Myvi too. Bullshit.

I would recommend a Ford Fiesta Sedan for you. It is smaller than Preve but since you are using it as a daily ride, most of the time you won't need the space. It still has a big boot for your baby things. FC is superb, RM50 can normally go 320-350km, full tank is about RM62-65 and can normally go 450km-480km.
*
I wonder how u guys drive your car! Everytime I go back to subang jaya from penang, I only need to fuel up my car rm 50. With rm50 can arrive my home from permatang pauh! I drive my cfe rm 50, my swift also rm 50. I also manage to get around 7L/100km.

FD2 is honda civic 2.0 type R i believe...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Civic_T...sian_version.29

if type R confirm cannot beat la Preve, but youtube all video show top speed around 200km/h only for honda 1.8.. preve ppl drive until 200km/h+ also, i believe is equal la if 1.8. O tried 160km/h on preve also no problem.. anything above never try, becos i hit 160km/h and brunei biggrin.gif then ahead is roadblock, kena saman malaysia dollar rm150 biggrin.gif
*
Fd2 is normal 2.0. Civic type r is fd2r. We can accelerate faster thn civic 2.0. Even neo cps also can. But, they have better top speed thn us. But when they achieve 200kmh, we already far ahead.

To be exact is mid & end range speed hehe. Pick up still lose to Japanese car biggrin.gif

Pick up lose to jap? Nonsense, we only lose the feeling because of cvt, try drag race with m or h or n or t with 2.0cc. Then judge yourself who will reach 100km/h first. I drive jap, korean and german also lol. Preve can beat those thrid class t, n, h, & m car. But german, err..long way to go.

not reli... 0-100 only can par with prius and lost to civic 2.0 i've tried.... my friend own those cars
*
Do u really know how to launch with cfe cvt? Here tips for you. Press your throttle with handbrake applied. Then release handbrake simultaneous with throttle pedal to metal. Second method, press throttle pedal to metal at gear position at n, then shift to d or s. You will feel like preve equipt with launch control. This is how to launch with cfe cvt. Because we need to close the clutch first, to eliminate the clutch delay, try this method and go drag with your mighty friend's civic 2.0. Then say bye2 to him.
