Hi all,

My car's rain sensor starting to acted weird.
For light, I always ON/OFF manually, for windscreen wiper, I use auto.
But recently (this month) the sensor trigger my wiper when (I guess) bright sunlight shines into the sensor.
Hot and bright daytime, wiper suddenly operate by itself. rclxub.gif
It had been acted like this no less than 10 times.

Those who owned any car with auto rain sensor, can you tell me is this consider normal?
Should I report to SC? I don't know how to replicate this behavior to show to SC lar... sad.gif

I too leave wiper mode to auto. However, no rain no wipe. So, i think in your case, the wiper sensor is faulty. Please check with SC.

Ok, thank you rich, then I think I should go check with SC.
It was working properly for the last 7 months, until now... sweat.gif

my car burn 3 times oredi..L,L,R mad.gif
i mostly travel at night 1...

that day go balik pulau burn R d...today burn L.....few month ago burn L also

I would say the bulbs will not burnt easily unless there's problem with either battery, alternator, headlamp seal or wiring etc..... I think you better complain to service center so that they can analyze & check for you. It's not good to keep replacing bulb, that's not cheap man! smile.gif

Hi GK Lai Bro

Long time no see. Happy New Year!

If it's one case i might agreed with you but iinm out of 10 owners maybe 7-8 owners suffers this one. Proton should make this as one of the items to be check during their silent 'recall'.

Or issit not enough voice from the owners to make them realize this? hmm.gif
*
Hehe.... hi and thanks bro Dhuang! Really long time not see you post here. wub.gif

Actually what I suspect was that, some batch of the alternator might have problem?

Seldom heard this problem from Proton cars, but I do heard some Nissan models got alternator problem.
Imagine 1 same car need to replace alternator 2-3 times.
Later change to another Nissan car, alternator problem again... laugh.gif
That poor guy is my brother's friend, and he is not the only cases I've heard of. sweat.gif

By the way, I will be going for my 20K service soon, and will go to EON SC (Sungai Pinang) this time.
Does Proton made any (silent) recall for any parts of the car lately? biggrin.gif

guys, updates here. Now the sun set edi, but i still hear the gluk gluk sound. oh gosh!
*
Both sides of my front windows have this sound too, but it never bother me, not a problem to me.

When I went for my 20K service last month, although I didn't complain a single thing, their computer list out 4 issues (they called it "programme" or what, I forgot) have to do to my car:
[1] APPLE GREASE AT COIL SPRING TO ELIMINATE-

[2] DRIVER SEAT SIDE AIRBAG HARNESS RE-ROUTI-
    SEAT ASSY, FR RH

[3] ECU & TCU DATA FOR ECU SPACE REFLASHING-

[4] IMPROVEMENT ON POWER WINDOW AND REGULATO-
    PW930999K

Since they did [1] and [4], my windows never have that sound anymore no matter how long I baked the car under the sun.
Some owners said the sound will come back in a few weeks or months, but again, this never bother me so I never worry about this. smile.gif

______________________________________________________________________________

I thought I am the lucky one, but yesterday my left headlight bulb blown after 10 months of ownership (about 50/50 of daytime/nighttime driving)... cry.gif
Already replaced them to Philips X-tremePower (was looking for X-tremeVision, but no stock). vmad.gif

A little worry now... should I replace with the cheaper bulbs?
If Preve's original bulb are low quality that burnt easily then it's ok, but if the components or wiring causing the bulb to burn, does that mean no matter how much the bulb cost, it will still burn in few months? shocking.gif

Tree sap spotted at rear boot and windscreen after park few days under the tree. Sent to premium cash wash also not helping.

Googling shows some home solutions,
1. Hand Sanitizer
2. WD 40
3. Nail Polish Remover [doubt this a bit too strong]
4. Meguiars ??

Or should send to professional polish and wax? My 3 months baby...
