My old Mercedes e280 doors can open by pulling the handle once. But still never got any problems without using child lock. LOL
If inside Mercedes and bmw, they will say wah, good feature so pro! but inside proton, they will say dangerous or whatever reason sweat.gif
Proton actually better by setting it to pull twice to open the doors.

ok guys, just a quick update,

previously i send my car in for warranty for the CE BOX a.k.a fuse box due to the faulty of it which leads to my car not able to start

recently (2 weeks ago) my car had a problem which is the gear leaver was stuck in P and could not shift down.after a few rounds of testing, i need to step on the brake paddle real hard then only can force it to change the gear knob from P>R or D.
after intensive checking at Senawang SC (cos that time at Seremban), the faulty part is the Gear Knob. upon replacing that part in Senawang SC. they SC found out that now the Shift Lock has malfunctioned which leads to my car able to shift gears from P>R>D>S without even pressing the brake or even pressing the Gear Knob.

I've send my car today morning to Section 13 SC for the warranty claim
and by 4pm, my car is ready for collection. They have replace the whole gear mechanism and suspect faulty is there.

So just to share my experience to all owners!
Cheers to the Service Head at Section 13 for assisting me!!

I called the Service Head at Section 13 directly around 630pm yesterday and inform him that I'm coming over today.
He said ok and straight i went to his room and he entertain me.
I also know the Service Head at Senawang and also can do that..hahaha..

in Section 13, generally alot of cars and they will attend to your car ASAP. but as usual, have to make in advance appointment.
but if say wana compare SC at Bdr Tun Razak Cheras, i would say Section 13 is way ahead of them by miles

would recommend u guys to go there!!

+1 on Bdr Tun Razak SC memang lambat...Setapak SC also not so fast, to fix noise also took almost one day

I do not mind going further if the SC can attend to my car ASAP.

Gotta agree with sec 13 SC. It more easy to claim warranty there compare to other place.
Other SC is just so damn freaking lazy to entertain us.
If Proton can standardize the quality of service in every SC like sec 13 one, i'm sure Proton reputation will become far more better than now.

the design is like that..same as the current VW and BMW design..

the first pull will unlock the door and second pull will open the door...there is nothing you can do about it..

ps:/if your children is sitting behind, make sure the child lock is ON..if they are old enough, just give them proper instructions about the door handle features..
*
Ya that's what I thought also. I just sharing something I don't know. It is good to let all preve-ian to aware about this as i know alot ppl still dont know.

One thing i realise here is when someone asking for help, mostly no answer. When talk about problem or want to clarify something bad, then the post keep firing in very short time? Don't be too protective. I am not a basher. Sharing is caring. I have no offense here. Thanks for those who really help before.

i think 23xxx ady has the latest ECU...pls check in prevoc.org...where bro @allenultra got post before...
normal behaviour, which i encounter many times ady...when ppl pull once from inside, and cannot open, they will stop opening/pulling the handle...
when a child pull once, i'm sure u ady aware of it...then u can immediately use central lock to lock the doors again...

some more there is chlid lock for rear seats....u can always switch it on using ur key before u start ur journey...
*
234xx Only got the latest ecu software. I read that from prevoc. Too bad mine is below that.

most of the conti car has this...

unless the central locking switch is pressed, the door will be individually unlock..
example, if the rear passenger side unlock the door, only that particular door will be unlocked, the rest remained lock from outside...
same goes to the driver side, if the driver unlock the door by pulling the handle, only the driver side door will unlock and the rest remained lock from outside...
smile.gif

simple mechanism really...

normal car driver side if u unlock, all other doors unlock, at least most of the car i drove is like that, kancil, wira, myvi, waja, honda city, then preve. i never try bmw or vw before so i dunno about their central locking. Cos for all those car is auto unlock other door ONLY for driver side, so if they wan implement something like if the car only have driver and wan unlock driver side only maybe they can use AI logic. Other doors no issue becos central locking only applies at driver side.
