Hello guys. Im back here. I wanna take new 2012 stock preve cfe. My concern is how much should i expect the discount and do the 2012 car ecu updated already?

New owners, Going-To-Be-owners, or Existing owners that haven't register as Prevoc members, you are welcomed to register.

what are the benefits of joining PREVOC club:
1. get to know new friends.
2. get more knowledge about cars from experience sharing by other members.
3. get to know the latest service buletin from Edar/EON.
4. get advice from other members about problems for preve.
5. get to know what kind of accessories you can put in your car, where you can get the accessories, and probably the price too.
6. get to particiapate in gathering (we call it TT, stand for teh tarik).

my car have this issue, but still can move with extremely sluggish.. but yours cannot move, maybe different issue.. go to sc if it happen again..

To Preve Exec CVT owners:

Anyone have solve the R<->D car engine die off problem by SC? Had another die off condition last weekend.

Condition: Go to D mode, then R, the car slowly reverse, suddenly engine die off, have to wait for a while before I could start my engine, and it is damn frustrating+embarrassing, blocking one car and half way entering my in law house..

Have been having few times of these condition ever since I got the Preve. Try to slowly change from R<->D but still happen, and only Preve CVT have this problem ???????? I tried my bro Inspira CVT, no such problem...

not only exec, happen to some CFE as well, solution is, dont change to R so fast...wait 1 seconds or so...happened to me once...

So, there is no solution to this problem except shifting slowly like a turtle?

happened to me twice so far. before switching gear, just make sure the car is completely stop/not moving. when i practice this, so far no more same occurance

guess all of Preve owners also having this problem...no solution from Proton...Mat79 did explain something about this CVT issue, but since I tried with Inspira CVT without any problem, I just thought that Preve can have a workaround to solve this issue...

feel disappointed, some other problems starting to come out after few months, mainly noise problem which I think can DIY..the only thing I reluctant to accept is this engine die off when shifting from D<->R ...

1 seconds is slow? just like u blink ur eyes twice only...


add: once u used to it, u wont feel slow anymore...

I think need more than 1 sec bro..because I shift from D to N first then I waited for a while before I shift to R, then I wait until the car reverse on it owns, I never press the fuel pedal (normally will die off immediately if you press fuel pedal when switch from D<->R), the car reverse for around half a meter, then die off, I tried to start the engine, cannot start, so I sit inside my car, turn off the ignition, wait for few seconds, then start my engine again..only can start..don't tell me this is for safety reason.. kalau ada perompak, dah kena hack sampai mati..

add: not April Fool joke although it is 1st April today... really happen and feel insecure..

Anyway, since you say will get use to it..there is not much choice but to accept the fact that the Preve behave in such a way..

My car also the same since day 1, 2nd press the check oil,check engine and battery signs still there...after start engine, then no more...i tot this suppose to be normal??

I do not face this problem...may be I change the gear not fast enough got to try later

bro, your ecotint already fully settle?

Yup, settled already. Changed a brand new ecotint for front wind screen before CNY.

Note: complaint kao kao at proton facebook...much faster response

bro Arthur, just out of curiosity, does the Saga 1.6 SE CVT have the D<->R problem like the Preve?

gotmy baby blue lagoon in saturday..several issues

1.gluk gluk sound when bracking at high speed above 60km i think
2.wind noise..dont know come from where
3.sluggishness effect from ECU not remapped
4.alignment..little bit to the left...

But i have read this forum 2 month before i buy the car..so i know all this probs had been solved..so sebab tak bahaya i just wait for my 1k service to slove all this prob..another thing i feel like the suspension is not really good as at highway feel like goyang2 a bit..my wife also feel that..but of course better than my previuos kancil..btw love my preve cfe very much..tq LYN for all the information..wiil keep in touch to this forum for a long time now
