QUOTE(kqw @ Feb 2 2013, 10:34 AM) morning guys, IMEim from the lyn waja thread. have a couple of questions regarding my sister's preve cfe auto (clocked <10k mileage). 1) whats the average FC like? she's a light footed, mixed urban driving. she's averaging around rm0.20/km or 9km/l. is this normal? 2) apparently, the preve has stalled (mati enjin) a couple of times while idling in traffic. again is this normal? 3) there's a intermittent sound while braking (soft or hard) at a certain speed (not sure, lets say 80kmh). i've never driven her car before but she describes the sound being akin to driving over those annoying little speed humps on LDP and KJ station thanks a bunch guys 1) kinda normal. 2) not normal, send to SC for inspection 3) intermittent sound? not in my car..so maybe a problem too.. cloocked at <10k..did ur sister car service on schedule? 1k (must be fully oil), 10k , etc... be alert some SC dint provide fully synthetic oil so need to change EO at 6-7k first...yes u still can wait till 10k but.. it is a protong car so be ready for problem..haha my fren IAFM+ white got problem with the gear light indicator..no light at all..should it be light-on right if we switch on the lamp? he comparing to my car..yes my car got that light.....wat ta.. |

QUOTE(swk_sam @ Feb 2 2013, 08:27 PM) I dont think it void the warranty cos they just attached a rca cable to the stock HU socket and install wiring all the way to rear bonnet. The HU already come with this feature as mention in the manual. No wire cutting if the installer know how to do it. Waa.nice like tht..how much? |

QUOTE(swk_sam @ Feb 3 2013, 05:36 PM) I am going 2nd tank for preve. First tank only can go 293. 2nd tank now half tank left and just go 145km only. Is it the fc will get better in high mileage? Kind of scary fc. Sigh... Wow..why too high fc...last time i fill up my cfe preve full tank can go from changlun till kl..still got 1 bar left which stated on the odometer 105km left. That time my mileage is 6k.do u always travel in heavy traffic? Or u a heavy footer type...i travel at 120-140km/h. |

QUOTE(allenultra @ Feb 3 2013, 10:32 PM) I have the best FC with BHP fuel. Good power and FC. can u gv a reason why u will avoid syntium fully 1000 15W50 at all cost?Somehow a friend of mine mentioned that Shell does give good FC on highway, no power though in town driving... Preve is recommended to use 10w30 APL SM grade engine oil, you shall go for first service soon, right? Aim for 5w30, 10w30 or 10w40 grade of engine oil. Be it semi or fully synthetic. I will avoid Petronas Syntium 1000 fully synthetic (15w50) at all cost. i just used it at my 10k service...currently the performance is excellent...much more better than my last 10W40 semi sythetic oil which is tried on my preve with petronas synthium 800 10W40 (1k service) and Shell Helix HX7 E (6k Service) . this is my first time using the petronas fully EO. some said 15W50 will make u car feel heavier...in my case i didnt even slighyly feel heavier than previous 10W40..but feel my cfe preve much lighter with 15W50 petronas fully 1000 oil ...and smoothier i personally like Mobil 1 EO.even fill up fuel i never ever go to petronas station since my preve cfe been bought last year..always go to esso or petron station..and go to BHP sometimes if no esso station nearby...but just tried the petronas EO...and i thinks thier fully 1000 EO is ok for me, not like what other people said lo..maybe this is result from my comparation to semi petronas and shell EO...but overall it satisfied me. im not a petronas Fan boy..just wondering the reason behind your statement. my next target Mobil1 EO..if got more money.. |

QUOTE(allenultra @ Feb 4 2013, 09:40 AM) syntium 1000 is the heaviest fully synthetic oil I can find from Petronas. indeed it is theoretically and scientifically said. and fyi i am aware of that..thats is why i feel a bit strange since in my knowlegde same like u..but after i experience it myself..it's different. You actually have answered your own question. 15w50 is heavier, to me is a lot heavier. Me using 5w30, another friend using 10w40 test drove a friend CFE with 15w50, we feel the 15w50 equipped CFE is sluggish in pick up. Its heavy oil as compared to Syntium 3000, etc. And also why it is cheapest fully synthetic oil from Petronas, right? I have no idea why you feel lighter with 15w50 over 10w40 but theoretically and scientifically, it isn't so. And my butt dyno told me it isn't so either. but i dont know why my case is different than the theoretically and scientifically facts. be noted i just comparing synthium 1000 15W50 Fully oil with semi Synthium 800 10w40 and semi Helix hx7 10w40 oil in MY CAR...dont know la other brand and other car what the outcomes.. and i am not trolling this EO over some facts that mostly is true..maybe becoz my mileage? not sure...anybody experience same situation like me? QUOTE(tj2012 @ Feb 10 2013, 08:25 AM) Hi guys, for my city driving, Preve CFE im getting 376KM per RM85. it depend on your traffic..and im abit heavy footer especially at the morning..haha..catching up the thumb prints. if u can control your foot, u can achive better fuel consumption. Can any current preve owner help me please? How much (rm) is a full tank for preve premium and how many km's can u get per full tank? I'm a social worker living in klang and working in cheras. Thinking of getting a preve premium but a bit afraid i wont be able to afford the petrol. Currently my viva is getting 450km/full tank(rm60). Just got a baby and viva is too small to fit all the things now. Thanks guys...appreciate your kind advice... if u comparing to VIVA...u will feel a huge different.. last time i fuel up a 1.0Viva RM45 can reach 370KM...manage to use 1.0viva for 2 weeks.. BUT..drive a C segment car is much more comfort than a compact car.. good for family..expecially u got baby..im pretty sure need more space for that. and for highway driving my cfe preve full tank can go from changlun to KL and still got 1 fuel bar left..drive at 120km/h - 140km/h This post has been edited by diadokmai: Feb 10 2013, 02:49 PM |

QUOTE(Kinitos @ Feb 11 2013, 08:23 AM) Proton expects owners to replace those things to theirs likings. Proton already earns your money, the problems is yours now um i thinking yes preve take out more quality thing from current model..On first page there are 88 "brave supporter" only less than 5% posted regularly HERE the rests ALL same like you? Those 88 must be super confident of Preve quality TAKKAN u are better than Proton making cars 30years experience and had tested driven PREVE for more than 200,000km before selling to u Preve nice to see NOT nice to sit? comparing my last gen2 Campro highline..the seat quality much more great. now my cfe preve seat is keluar benang2...why they dont packk up with leather..damn. and one more thing..i ask the SC to repair the driver side power windows holder. since when i lift up the window the holder left together a bit...plus the front side windows still creating a crek crek sound..even after they said they repaired it to me.unfortunate they said it normal same with other car..anyone already solve this problem? i demand to get that repaired still they ignore my report..can i report to Proton HQ directly..? it is a small problem..yes my car still can move...but 72k is a quite a lot money for me who only works as normal government servant. plus i need to bear 9 years loan...
