I accept the fact that all cars come with defects. And i take the risk as first batch buyer.
Dont you think that upon discovery of such defect, proton couldve called me or write to me so that i can make appointment to fix it? Tat was the least that they couldve done (im not hoping for a recall as i guess in malaysia no manufacturer will ever do one).
Why do they need to wait me go for routine servicing "discover" myself? Its the attitude of them taking things for granted that i am unhappy with.

Bro, i know proton standard. I have driven wira for 7 yrs before Preve. I know their QC and i have mentioned in my post about willing to take the risk as first batch buyer.
What i am not satisfied is there was no notification to me that they need to fix safety issue on my car, until I go for my routine service. I believe safety related issue should be handled ASAP. And when i actually asked the SA, they still trying to tell me that the airbag is OK, just need to fix the wiring (many times repeating). Only when i ask them "if OK then wat is the use if not deploy during collision?" Then they silent.
I appreciate u guys sharing service bulletin from proton in Prevoc forum/FB. But i should not have to rely on public/car enthusiast forums to know a recall campaign on my car right?
Or maybe like bro Gigabit said, proton care about their reputation too much? Feel this issue is small issue?
Anyway, i dont want to talk up this issue further and lets put a rest to it. Cheers.

I just receive my IAFM+ CVT yesterday.

Everything looks perfect

I found when i press the pedal, there is some lagging or sluggish before the car move. Or when during traffic jam, the car seems jerking.

In another word, I don't know whether the gearbox not smooth or the engine not smooth.

Is just fresh from show room less than 100km on the ODO.

Do I need to ask SC for ECU update or whatever thing that I need to do during my first 1k service?

By the way, is the car come with remote boot open? and how to open it?

and how we set the alarm, when i press once - only driver door open, and when i press again all door unlock.

yea mine is CFE..

mine not only slugginess..the car will shake like dancing harlem shake if u press abit more on pedal..
i sent to mutiara damansara again just now..

they say might be related to throttle body and pedal sensor..
waiting their call..

Have you done DIY engine mount? It does help a bit in removing some of the shaking...

I am not sure what material is it, for my opinion, some other part inside the engine might be metal. Pls take note that newer engine is tighter between the parts. This is y ppl recommend to use lower viscosity motor oil compare to older engine. If we can pay 72k for a car, why cant we buy some sort of insurance just for RM69? Just my 2cent 

Hi guys..I test drove the preve executive auto earlier.. Just curious whether the engine is so loud is normal for cvt engine or not? Cos i could really hear the noise when i press on the pedal and some of the forumer, say that the insulation is good.. Is it everyone experiencing the same thing? The test drive car chassis number is 23k..But I could feel the sluggishness below 2krpm..has been remapped with new ecu or what? Thanks for clearing my doubts.. I particularly like the handling =D.

Hi, just got my CFE 3 days ago. Most of the time, when I start to move from standstill using D transmission (especially on the traffic light at hill slope), the car hardly can get to move and it started to jerks awhile, where I need to press the fuel pedal very hard to move the car. Is this normal?

Then I tried to use S mode. Car easier to pick up from stand still compare to D mode but the car still jerks. My chasis is around 31xxx, i think this is not the ECU remap problem ?

Its the gearbox actually, not engine.

The characteristic of this cvt, to ensure smoothness pickup with D mode is to press gently to let the car roll abit, only by then apply more force to accelerate. Its unlike normal torque converter gearbox

Hello everyone,

After driving my IAFM+ CVT for 800km,

I notice some rattling sound coming from around steering area when i push the car between 1.5-2.5k, Is kinda annoyed.

Have anyone encounter this problem?

Also, my steering vibrate when i hit the brake like krup krup krup sound. I suspect the disc brake.

By the way, normally you guys use what oil for 1k sevice?

Current mileage is 9.7k. The thing is, i did go to dealer service center, they said it's normal for the check engine, check oil & battery to remain lit up after 2nd press of start button. It will gone once engine started.

Can anyone confirm this? I was confirmed by heart that only handbrake light stay.
